My rear brake caliper froze on my 2006 Lexus GS300. I bought the Hawk HPS Street Sport Brake Pads and Centric Premium Rotors from Tirerack and the rear brake caliper from Napa. I never did anything this extensive with a car before. The job was actually pretty easy.

How To Properly Change Cabin Air Filter Lexus GS (1st Put AC on Re-Circulate)
CAUTION: Put your AC on Re-Circulate before you perform the steps in this video! otherwise, you will not be able to flip the filter door open 0:22 and you can damage the door if you force it. Don't Force Anything or you'll break something! There have been people who forced opened the door and stripped a plastic gear, please make sure you do not do this.

How to Replace Front Brake Pads and Rotors
Front brake pads provide up to 70% of vehicle stopping power. In general, front brake pads wear out twice as fast as rear brake pads, 2 to 1. Disc brakes have a definite braking power advantage over drum style brakes and performance is not compromised as much when wet. Some disc brakes utilize cooling fins in-between the braking surfaces to maximize cooling efficiency. Replacing brake discs can vary depending on the make and model of car or truck, two wheel or four wheel drive. Always replace brake rotors with top quality or OEM (original equipment manufacturer) brake rotors, some less expensive brake rotors can squeak and not dissipate heat as well because of their inferior metal quality.
