R53 MINI Cooper S Milltek exhaust sound (vs. Stock)
2005 Cooper S CR/W, custom fiberglass CAI.
I'm quite pleased with the final result, although Milltek system is LOOOUD at WOT!
When crusing on a a highway there is no drone at all, and the Exhaust is almost inaudible.
Also, it pops all the time when hot - very nice, I like ;)
Seafoaming a 1st-gen MINI Cooper S (R53)
A short instructional piece on how to put seafoam through the engine of an R50/R53. And, of course, the resulting smoke show :)
Things I didn't mention in the video: When starting the engine after the seafoam sits, go slowly. Rev it very gently until the engine runs smoothly at about 2000 RPM. Then you can start opening it up more.
If you get a CEL and the engine goes into limp mode (the engine won't rev freely), shut it off and restart it, and continue revving until the majority of the smoke is gone.
You don't have to get as carried away with the revving as I did, but it's fun :)
Mini Cooper rev with stock airbox vs. Alta intake.
The first set of revs is done with the stock air box, the second set is with an Alta CAI installed. You can hear and feel a substantial gain in responsiveness, especially in the 3000-6000rpm the turbo really whistles. Took me 10 minutes to install! Recommend it to all!
2010 Mini Cooper S Lowering Spring NM Engineering Review from Custom Car Central rocistan
This is a consumer review of the NM Engineering Springs for the Mini Cooper S brought from Custom Car Central dot com so please give them a call if you need any for your car...they have the lowest price on the web! customcarscentral.com
I cannot begin to tell you what a difference these lowering springs have made. I HIGHLY recommend getting lowering springs put in by a professional. Normally it would cost you $400 or so to get them put on but if you know a good mechanic, or just approach one, tell them you'll do it for $200 cash, they will do it on their off time. Either way, it rides and looks SO much better. It's not bouncy as the myth goes. NM Springs are the way to go!
