trip computer activated on my D8 peugeot 406, uhh done a lot of work to get'it done. Thanx to some ppl i've done this faster than alone. So a big THX goes to them. Team work is everything.!
you have to do some wiring ...4 wires nonbsi and 2 wires bsi or D9, correct me if i'm wrong coz i'm not such an expert !

Peugeot diagnostic Pcodes - Motronic MP 3.2 2L Turbo and Trip computer Activated on D8
A diagnostic made with one pin - engine diagnostics pin : C3 mine was C
(2), pin 3 was not there, to the ground PSA30 soket.
REMEMBER DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ARE YOU DOING! Idon't take
To start readout of the codes:
1. Connect the circuit above, with the switch opened.
2. Turn on ignition
3. Within 3 seconds close the switch for 3-5 seconds, and open it again
4. The start code 12 will apear. Blink, pause, blink,blink.
5. Press the switch again for 3-5 seconds, and open it again.
6a. Now the diagnostic codes will follow in case there is an error code
6b. If no more codes are stored the end code 11 will apear. Blink, pause,
7a repeat step 5 and 6 until all codes are read out
7b After the end code you can clear all codes.
To clear all stored error codes:
1. First read out all codes described above
2. After the end code, close the switch for excactly 15 seconds.
3. Open the switch again
4. Now all stored codes are cleared.
Alternatively you can erase all error codes by disconnecting the battery
for 10 (or more)
minutes. This will not only clear the codes, but also erase the 'learned'
settings (eg for the
engine) and refer back to factory default.

Car Key fob button repair
The video is about repairing Key fobs.
The particular key I am repairing is from a peugeot 406, but many citroens
and other peugeot model have the same or very similar case and the
technique used can be applied to many other car keys. Just dont over heat
The buttons on this case are actually bonded in place so a new key fob is
required to repair it.

406 Doorcard Removal
How to remove the Doorcard / door panel on a peugeot 406, this is for the
face lifted D9 406's made between 2000 and 2004 but the older ones
shouldn't be too different.
The reason for removing it in this case was that i wanted to route wires
from the wing mirror to inside the car, the wing mirror has an LED strip
that will become a puddle light when wired up. It will light up when the
car is unlocked.
The white sheet behind the panel is quite important when the motor had been
changed by the previous owner they just ripped the sheet out but the car
leaked around this door and the missing sheet was the problem, its best to
take care when moving it out of the way.
Peugeot 406 Timing Belt Change
Changing a timing belt on a peugeot 406 2.0 HDi 110 DW10ATED
The car has around 122,000 miles and apparently it had a new belt put on at
79,000 miles but there was no receipts so to be sure i changed it.
It is quite an involved job, a lot of things to do and it needs to be done
right otherwise it can wreck the cars engine.
I would recommend reading the Haynes Manual and this, and reading them a
number of times to fully understand what is involved:
The tensioning procedure i did not show completely in the video as its hard
to show on camera and its best if you read the guide to see how its done.
I also replaced the water pump as its good to do when your in there, the
crankshaft oil seal was leaking hence all the oil/sludge in the area,
engine degreaser was used liberally to clean up the area and timing belt
covers before putting the new belt on.

I hope this video helps to show what is involved with a timing belt change
on a 2.0 HDi DW10ATED engine, but i strongly recommend that you read the
manual and the other guides.
I only intend for this video to help and condense the timing belt

The 406's annual service. A number of things are done. The oil gets
changed, a new oil filter put on, new diesel filter, air filter changed and
egr cleaner sprayed in. As well as a new pollen filter to get rid of the
stale smell coming from the air vents.
This is the first time I've used ramps to change the oil, they did need
some wooden blocks to raise the car up before driving onto them but it
makes working under the car and holding the camcorder much easier.
I didnt have an oil filter wrench to hand but using the screwdriver to turn
the filter doesn't do the car any harm the old filter is going to the bin

Full Dashboard Removal from a Peugeot 406
How to completley remove the dashboard from a Peugeot 406
This is quite a big job, as you might be able to notice there are some
continuity issues in the video with removed parts reappearing, and the
interior trim changes, the reason is i have put some old videos into this
one on top of the extra footage of the dash removal process.
The main reason for removing the dash would be if you had a crash and the
passenger airbag burst through the dash.
You could possibly trim the dash in a nicer material such as leather like
the new 208 has, but exactly how you would go about doing such a thing i
have no idea.
