First and foremost I want to thank Passatworld.com for the wealth of knowledge there. Unfortunately all of the images in the various articles are missing. Fortunately the text is still there. I thought this video might help others so I am sharing the process in removing these pain in the ass vents and how to convert the $20 bulbs from the dealers to LED so you never have to play with them again.

Hi there, this is my new/last project. I decided to convert my Passat 3BG tail lights to LED :o) For that I bought a couple of used tail lights in eBay (59€) plus 500 leds (300 red + 200 yellow) also in eBay, by around 50€. Locally I bought also pre-drilled fibre PCB and small material such as resistors and sillicon to glue the PCBs to the light. This is a video showing the result
