Silage 2011 - Tedding,Raking, Lifting.

After a brief look at the tedding with McCormick and New Holland, we see the raking with their brand new Claas 2-rotor and Case 90 2wd, and then to the lifting. Claas Jaguar 75 with McCormick 135 and initially, just one tractor/trailer. When the tedding is done there is more - another set is sufficient in this field next to the steading. Neighbours are helping, again. There are six tractors working today.

Silage 2011 - Whole Crop Wheat (4). DanYRheol Team.
Geraint finishes off the first field and is off to the next (but that's the next video in this series). Chuckles gets a nearly full load for the steep hill to the farm, and we get a brief glimpse of the JCB on the pit. John Deere 7850 forager with New Holland TM150 and Rob on the John Deere 6520 (I think).

Silage 2011 - Fourth Cut, Two Rakes.
A very decent fourth cut brings out DanYRheol and the team. Two Claas rakes are a-raking and we see some of the trailer gang carting, as well. All day job, this. New Holland tractors.

Silage 2011 - with Phil. Beynon - On the Pit.
First we see the pit work as the JCB on order hasn't arrived so a buckrake on the front of the New Holland has to do - and do very well, it seems. Trailers come in from a fair distance away - gets nearer later on.

Silage 2011 - Mowing with NH and McCormick. New Field.
The TS115 and MXM115 with their Fella mowers enter a new field where they have some onlookers. Sun comes out, too.

Silage 2011 - Baling in the Evening.
Jones Contractors from Nantgaredig, Carmarthen feature in this one. Tidy set-up working after tea in the upper Towy Valley. David Jones in the driving seat. Saw this field being tedded with a MF 290 in the afternoon so returned later. The tedding - yes, I did get that, but you'll have to wait!!

Silage 2011 Claas Rollant (HD)
Julian Mousley team in action again, Steve the Valtra this time. His 191 certainly can handle this job and the Claas is making mincemeat out of these thin rows, anyway. Not a thick crop? No - it's an organic one. Very nice sward, though!

Silage 2011 - Lifting with Claas Jaguar 75
Remember sunshine? Dry fields? Grass you could sit down on? Here it is - some more from your favourite Claas. New field started, nice view all round from the top of the field and sun the right side! McCormick 135 on the Claas.

Silage 2011 - Bale Collecting with New Holland 5060. Plus . . . . .
Neat little NH with a nice bit of grunt, a McHale fork and collecting in the field and also unloading the trailer. There's a Massey-Ferguson 290 (?) tedding in the next field ready for David Jones to bale in the evening. (That one was loaded some time ago).

Silage 2011 - Raking, Lifting and Pitwork.
Some more of the Claas Jaguar 75 hard at work with the McCormick 135. Plus some pitwork with a nice New Holland T90 which just gets under the roof! Old fashioned way of sorting the pit which I remember from my youth, though the buckrakes weren't push-off types.
