Cold Start 2004 Mazda RX-8 with Short Tour, and Test Drive
A friend of mine let me make a cold start video of his 2004 Mazda RX-8. I give a few stats in the video, but to go in a little more depth. It's a 1.3L Renesis dual rotor engine "rotary" very tiny engine putting out 238 horsepower and 159 lb ft torque. I also give a short tour, show the engine and details, and we take it for a drive. I get some cool shots inside, and some drive bys. Also an Exhaust/revving clip at the end. I know I had a lot of requests to do one of these cars. An full, in depth review/tour will come later on. MY MAZDA RX8 2004 GT
This is my mazda rx8 gt sport fully loaded with sun roof.. didnt do too much to it.. still not done.. will eventually be putting a turbo kit in it.. etc..
For now just decided to work on the body a little give it a nice look.. it was being stored for winter.. took it out for a drive to see if it was all good... turned out to still be doing pretty good! thats all for now!

Second session on Saturday, June 14, 2008. Finally let me pass after 1-3/4 laps. Both the BMW driver and I are advanced, high-performance driving instructors.
The RX-8 is completely stock except for a B&B muffler and Hawk HP Plus pads on the front. It does not have traction control or stability control. Tires are original stock street Potenzas. No doubt the M5 is stock too, and this has more to do with weight than horsepower.
Camera is a Creative Labs Vado cheapcorder stuck to the windshield with a suction cup cellphone holder. Video was recorded upside-down due to the mount, and was transcoded to rotate it. Quality suffered.

Szevasztok Magyarok! STOCK manual 231 hp RX-8 0-153 kph (96 mph) on 1/4 mile in 14.48 sec!!!(a Ferrari 360 Spyder, 400 hp does 1/4 mile in 12.73 sec).. / 0-100 kph (62 mph) in 6.72 sec. (Factory: 6.4 sec.) / 0-128 kph (80 mph) in 10.13 sec. / 0-144 kph (90 mph) in 12.43 sec. / 0-150 kph (93.7 mph) in 13.94 sec. / 0-160 kph (100 mph) in 16.05 sec. / 0-176 kph (110 mph) in 19.92 sec. / 0-192 kph (120 mph) in 24.06 sec. / 0-200 kph (124 mph) in 27.23 sec (on less than 2/3 mile) and 0-209 kph (near 131 mph) in 32.93 sec (on other vid from me 32.1 sec. and 0-220 kph in 39.4 sec.)
