Today we are going to show you the installation of part number 55571 from Curt. We are going to install this on a 2005 Nissan Murano. For this install what we need to do is open up the back hatch and remove some inner panels. Both of the covers on the left and right come off. These compartments will also come out. Now to remove the threshold what you want to do is remove this little panel underneath the hook. There are also 3 plastic releases in the back along with these 3 rivets in the back. Take those out and this whole panel will unsnap and come apart. We need to take this cover off so what we do is work it a little loosely and the pop this handle out and you can pull the whole thing out pretty easily. Then go ahead and pop those pins out of the side paneling so you can pull it off. Now you can see where the harness and the tail light connect. So we will pull those apart and then plug our T connector right in there. Push that back in there and run that along the harness. Hold that together with a couple zip ties. At this point we can go ahead and reassemble the passenger side. It is also a good idea to run a few zip ties across so that the harness does not get in the way of the spare tire if you ever have to use it. Then our black wire gets connected to our power supply right here. Then we go behind this panel and do the same thing we did on the passenger side. Again we are going to route this harness along the original harness. Next we need to run our ground wire to our assembly screw and we will use this one right here. Now we will want to run this out to the outside. There is a gromit right here we can pop out and it gets replaced by the new gromit. This plug is suppose to go through this hole but it is over sized so what we will do is put a notch in it. We made a cut on both sides and pulled up the middle to make a tab. We will put this back through and tap it back into place. Next we need to secure our box here and we are set to go. Push it as far as it can go back and make sure that the compartment does not sit on the box because it will sit uneven. Here we will start reassembling our interior then we will move down bottom side. Down here we will connect our harness then route it in a way that it stays away from the Exhaust as far as possible. We ran the wire around the Exhaust so it will not get burnt or anything. Now we will install our bracket which is part number 18140. We ran our wires through the hole in the bracket here. Then ran it through the final bracket that holds the 4 pole then we will zip tie the rest of the wires out of the way. That covers our install of part number 55571 from Curt on our wired connector. Installed on a 2005 Nissan Murano. The bracket number we used was 18140 which was the one that clamped to the and the other part that held the 4 pole was 18144. Videos are provided as a guide only. http://www.etrailer.com/tv-Wiring-Install-2009-Nissan-Murano.aspx Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information. Today on this 2009 Nissan Murano we will be installing wiring harness part number 118481. Okay, we are inside the rear cargo area of the Murano here. And the connection points for our wiring harness are going to be located on the inside of the vehicle here. Behind the interior panels on both the driver and passenger sides. To gain access to these connection points we are going to need to do some removing of the interior portions of the vehicle. We need to remove the rear threshold plate here. There are three push pins here at the interior side of the threshold plate that we need to remove. We can do that by simply taking a flat head screwdriver and popping the middle piece up and that will allow the clip to release. From there we can just kind of gently rock back and forth on the threshold plate until the top clips up here release and we can set that side.

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2009 Nissan Murano - etrailer.com
http://www.etrailer.com/tv-Hitch-Install-2009-Nissan-Murano-Curt.aspx Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information. Today on this 2009 Nissan Murano we will be installing Curt hitch, part number 13577. Okay we are underneath the vehicle and the first thing we want to go ahead and do is lower the Exhaust and get it out of our way. There are four hangers on the Exhaust that we need to lower down. There are two here on the drivers side, one here on the passengers side, and one in the middle at the forward side. I am going to go ahead and spray the studs down with a spray lubricant like a WD-40. And you can take a pry bar or a pair of pliers and remove the rubber hanger from the stud. Here at the rear I am going to go ahead and support the middle tube of the Exhaust system, because once you remove it off of all four hangers the Exhaust will down and could possibly damage the system. I am going to take a basic ratchet strap, you can use a bungee cord or some rope if you would like, and just basically route it across. Just enough to support the middle bar again. Okay next over here on the drivers side we want to remove the tow hook. There are four bolts holding the tow hook onto the frame that we need to remove. With the tow hook removed you can see on the drivers side frame rail that we have multiple weld nuts here at the bottom of the frame. We are going to be using this one here and this one here. And we are going to attach the hitch using the new 12 millimeter hardware that is provided with the installation kit. And then here, at the third attaching point, we are going to be reusing one of the bolts that was holding the tow hook in place. Over on the passengers side you will see there are just two weld nuts here at the bottom of the frame. Again, these two weld nuts will be using the new 12 millimeter hardware that is provided with our installation kit. Now that we have those pointed out we can go ahead and mount the hitch up into place. Now that we have the hardware in up into place we can torque our bolts down. You want to check with the directions to verify the appropriate torque rating for each individual bolt. Okay with all the bolts torqued down you want to put the Exhaust back up on its hangers and our installation will be complete. And with that, that will conclude the installation of Curt hitch part number 13577 on a 2009 Nissan Murano.

http://www.etrailer.com/tv-hitch_install_2005_nissan_murano.aspx Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information. Today we are going to install part number 90073 on our 2005 Nissan Murano. The first thing we are going to do is loosen the Exhaust. What we need to do is the lower the Exhaust in front of the muffler. Bring it down an inch or so. You can also put a strap around it to hold it in place and maybe lower a little further if you need to. We will start by taking down this bracket here. Next we move on to the Exhaust hangers this is where it is good to invest in a ratchet wrench. It makes things a lot easier. Now this bracket must come off and stay off by taking out the 2 bolts up in front and 2 on the backside. Then these rubber hangers have to come off so we can lower everything down. How we do that is spray them down with some WD40 which will make it a little easier to pry them off. As you can see we lowered it down, the hanger is all the way down. This strap is whats holding up the Exhaust for now which gives up plenty of working room for the hitch. Now we can install the hitch and basically whats going to happen is the arms are going to go up and over the Exhaust tubes and go between the Exhaust and the frame. At this point we have the hitch being held up by 2 bolts. We will want to go ahead and install the other bolts. Sometimes fine threads get dirty pretty quick. This is a 2005 but we got pretty lucky on this one. Typically you will need to thread the bolts in a few times to make sure they go in all the way. To get a straighter angle on the bolts themselves we took that last Exhaust hanger down and hung it on the strap we had. It simply gives us more room to push the Exhaust from side to side. Now we go ahead and re hang the Exhaust. One note is that this rod has to go through this Exhaust hanger and the tip of it resides in this hole here at the top of the hitch. So what we will do is stick the rod in there then put the Exhaust hanger back up to hold it in place. Next we want to take the front rubber hanger off and slide it back on here and then put it back on it makes it a little bit easier. Now get the rear most hanger and there you go. Back to the passenger side then bolt all 4 of those bolts back on. That covers our install of part number 90073 from Hidden Hitch on our 2005 Nissan Murano. Videos are provided as a guide only. Today on this 2006 Nissan Murano we are going to install part number C56105 from Curt, their T connector wiring kit. The first thing we need to do is get access to the inside of the vehicle so we are going to have to open up the hatch and we are going to remove some interior panels to get to the wire harness. This compartment we have to move also so we have to remove these two bolts and that will allow us to take it apart. In order to remove this compartment we also have to loosen up the carpeting on the side here too. We are just going to pop up this cap right here and then we will remove the tie down hook. Now we have got our driver side done, now we will go over to the passenger side and repeat the same process. 00:50

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Nissan Rogue - etrailer.com
http://www.etrailer.com/tv-wiring-install-2009-nissan-rouge.aspx Videos are provided as a guide only. Refer to manufacturer installation instructions and specs for complete information. Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118480 on a 2009 Nissan Rogue. We have opened up the rear hatch of the vehicle and we are going to go ahead and point out where we need to locate the connection points for our wiring harness. The connection points are actually located behind the tail light assemblies, on the inside of the vehicle, behind these panels, on both sides of the vehicle. To gain access to those, we are going to need to remove quite a few items here from the rear end of the vehicle. To release these screws here, you actually want to align the arrows. There is an arrow here on the inboard side, along with the arrow on the knob. If you align those two, it will allow these two clips to release. There are also three screws here that are holding this compartment in that we are going to need to remove as well. OK, once we have got the interior removed, the connection point we are looking for is going to be right behind here, so we will need to go ahead and pop these panels back. To do so, I am just going to take a basic pry tool and release the push rivets that are inside here on the inner wall. Then I am just going to pry this away. And you can see right here, attached behind the wiring harness, is the white connector that we are looking for. So we are going to locate that one on the drivers side as well. We will start by disconnecting those on both sides, and we will go ahead and plug our harness in line. Here on the drivers side we want to plug in the connector with the yellow and brown wires. And you can see here we have got a white wire with a ring terminal on it that is our ground connection. We are going to need to find a suitable grounding point for this. As you can see just above where we connected our T-connector there is a common grounding point. We can go ahead and tap this in right there. Now we will take the connector that has the red and green wires we will route it behind the threshold piece that we removed here, and then plug it into the passengers side to the attaching point. And the next thing we want to do is take our Modulite box - and you can see we have got an open-ended red wire here - that is going to be the positive lead. Then we are actually going to connect the black bundle of wire that comes with the installation kit, too, and we are going to route that all the way to the front and hook it to the positive side of the battery. We will go ahead and tape it up. Then next we want to find a suitable mounting point for the Modulite box itself. You can see on the back side it has got double-sided tape. I am going to go ahead and adhere that in behind here on the drivers side. The 4-pole portion of the harness is actually going to stay inside the vehicle. So, we will leave that sitting inside here for the time being. And again, next we are going to go ahead and figure out which grommet we are going to use. And after looking underneath the vehicle, it looks like it is a good grommet location for us to run our wire through. What I am going to do is go ahead and take the grommet itself, and I am just going to puncture a little hole right in the middle and then just run the black wire through that, underneath the vehicle. And then we can just pop our grommet right back into place. We are pretty much done inside the vehicle now and we can go ahead and put the interior back together. Then we will go back under the vehicle and route our wire up to the battery. And then for storage, again, we are just going to leave it in this compartment here. Just pull it out when you want to go ahead and use it. Close the hatch on it it is not going to hurt anything. The weatherstripping will keep it from getting pinched. Again, when you want to go ahead and store it, you can just leave it inside here. This will conclude the installation of wiring harness part number 118480 on a 2009 Nissan Rogue. etrailer.com
