La Renault Twizy sarà commercializzata in Italia all'inizio del 2012 in due motorizzazioni e altrettanti allestimenti, denominati Urban e Technic.
RENAULT TWIZY URBAN
Come annunciato al Salone di Ginevra 2011, la gamma Twizy sarà commercializzata in Europa a partire da 6.990 euro IVA compresa per la versione Twizy Urban 45, versione equipaggiata con motore da 5 CV e velocità massima limitata a 45 km/h che in Italia può essere utilizzata anche con il patentino. Al prezzo di partenza si dovranno aggiungere 45 euro al mese (IVA compresa) per l'abbonamento al noleggio della batteria. La Twizy Urban equipaggiata con motore elettrico da 17 CV, destinata invece ai possessori di patente B e superiori, verrà commercializzata ad un prezzo di 7.690 euro, con un prezzo per il noleggio mensile degli accumulatori che sale a 49 euro al mese. I colori disponibili sono le vernici opache "Grigio Nuage" e "Rosso Filament" e copricerchi grigi, mentre l'equipaggiamento comprende disappannamento e pre-equipaggiamento audio (l'optional si chiama "Pack Confort" su Twizy 45), prese accessori, cavo e caricatore integrati (la ricarica avviene in 3 ore e 30 minuti), computer di bordo con econometro, indicatore di autonomia, indicatore di carica della batteria, 2 vani con sportello sulla plancia (di cui uno con serratura), vano portaoggetti da 31 l con serratura dietro lo schienale del sedile posteriore espandibile a 55 l ribaltando il sedile posteriore, avviamento elettronico a trasponder, airbag conducente, cinture di sicurezza a 4 punti di ancoraggio su sedile anteriore e a 3 punti sul sedile posteriore. La versione "ammiraglia" della gamma Twizy è rappresentata dall'allestimento Technic, che alle dotazioni delle Twizy Urban aggiunge: sticker tipo "carbonio" su vano sulla plancia, porte (in opzione) e tetto, cerchi in lega 13" diamantati neri, vernice metallizzata "Nero étoile" (bicolore) o "Bianco neve", sedile conducente e finiture della plancia bianchi, sellerie "Technic" in TEP impermeabile. Come optional disponibili ci saranno le porte con apertura ad ala di gabbiano e il tetto trasparente. Questa versione in Italia costerà 8.490 euro, ma al catalogo Twizy si aggiungeranno presto anche altre versioni.

It has a Ford 4 cylinder 150hp engine, and it handles like a Super Mario Cart! If you are a biker and you want to meet to look at it I will consider that. It has every option offered by the manufacture, which include:
AC & Heat, Power adjustable peddles, Trunk Carpet, Trail Hitch, Cruse Control, Front Seat Backrest, Fog lamps, HID headlights.
I have added the following items: Custom LED underbody lights, LED side lights, Driver pouch, Wig/Wag headlight modulator, Remote Battery Terminal (without this you will need to take the rear tire off to charge or jump the battery), Additional antenna, J&N intercom and CB, Trunk Pouch, larger rear tires, wind deflectors, and power plug.
I have had all the major updates done to this trike, and it is in perfect mechanical condition and still under the factory warranty. Currently the 2011 models are not being offered due to Ford changing the motor. I am not sure if TBMS will even offer another model due to having to re-engineer the bike to fit the changed motors offered by Ford.
What sets my Stallion apart from the newer models is that this one is hand laid fiberglass with a custom gold and silver fleck candy apple paint with clear coats. This paint is truly amazing when you compare it to the new flatter paint on the new plastic bikes.
