The nice people at Cadillac sent me a brand new Caddie to test drive for one week. Here's my review view. To summarize: Cadillac, my garage door is always open.

2011 Cadillac SRX Performance Collection Start Up, Engine, and In Depth Tour/Review
For the 2011 model year there are several model designations for the new SRX including Base, Luxury, Performance, Premium, turbo Performance, and turbo Premium. The basic differences in the performance and the premium is climate control for the rear passengers, ventilated seats for the front, and a couple of small things, other than that the performance and premium are almost one in the same. You can pick up a performance for around $42-43k. In this video I give a full in depth tour of the 2011 Cadillac SRX Performance Collection. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this crossover while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this crossover designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

2012 Cadillac SRX Test Drive & Luxury Crossover Video Review

The first generation while providing tons of luxury stuck out like a sore thumb due to its dated looks. But for the 2012 model year Cadillac totally redesigned the SRX from the ground up and it became an instant hit. The 2012 Cadillac SRX blends the best of both worlds with its styling. The SRX looks like a cross between a wagon and an SUV. And this is a good thing since Cadillac makes both a stunning SUV in the Escalade and maybe the best looking wagon ever in the CTS-V wagon. Up front the SRX sports the signature Cadillac emblem and chrome grill. The headlights have a really cool shape and are accented by daytime LED lights which is a must for a modern luxury vehicle. Combined with a sloping roof line and massive rims; the 2012 Cadillac SRX is a real eye pleaser. With a base price of $35,985 the SRX is the perfect choice for a luxury crossover vehicle.
Powering the 2012 Cadillac SRX is a direct injected 3.6 liter V-6 engine that produces 308 horsepower and 265 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a smooth shifting 6-speed automatic. Fuel economy is pretty good at 17 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway. The SRX is available with an Advanced AWD system that features torque vectoring and a rear electronic limited slip differential. These features help keep you safe by sending power to the wheels that need it the most, but these systems also provide enhanced vehicle control which add to the luxurious ride.
On the inside the 2012 Cadillac SRX offers tons of luxurious features and amenities. The drive is bathed in supple leather surfaces and top notch Sapele Wood trim which is usually reserved for use in high-end guitars. It is a great environment to be in. The steering wheel and shift knob are both wrapped in leather. The driver and front passenger get comfortable leather seats that are not only adjustable but they feature heating and cooling options. But maybe the best part of the 2012 Cadillac SRX is the UltraView sunroof which spans almost the entire length and width of the roof. There is also a BOSE 5.1 Surround Sound Stereo unit for your listening pleasure. Other features include Navigation and push button start. The 2012 Cadillac SRX is the ultimate luxury crossover SUV.
