1989 Ford Ranger XLT

Has a 2.9 liter V-6 with a bogamatic (automatic). Extended cab, 4x4 with Warn manual locking hubs. The tranny was rebuilt in 2000 or 2001 and the truck has sat since shortly after that. When we went to get it, we put a battery in it and a gallon of gas in the tank (because we didn't know how much was in it, but we later discovered that it had a half tank of old gas) and it fired right up and we drove it 3 miles to get it home. It needs very little work except for paint. I got under it and discovered that the gas lines and brake lines are perfect. I think it will make a good first car for me. And it came with a full set of pirelli scorpion all season radial tires. NICE!!!

Just an update on the truck. Not much else. After the video i did buff the drivers side and it made the truck look a hundred times better. And i also installed my new subs, have to make a video of that soon.

This is Part II of III of our experience with getting my son's truck back on the road. My son paid for most everything including the machine shop bill. I supervised the undertaking and at times it was a painful experience having to deal with someone who wasn't used to this type of work.
