Motorama 1953 Set Up
In 1953, General Motors wanted to jump start consumer enthusiasm for its new cars. The auto shows hadn't started back up after the War so they decided to take matters into their own hands.
They staged a series of events dubbed the Motoraramas, launching at the Waldorf Astoria in New York. Here thousands of people could see the new cars and also some dream cars whipped up by GM's master of fantasy, design chief, Harley Earl.
It was quite an undertaking squeezing an auto show into the Waldorf but it paid off as the show stirred up excitement and generated countless news articles that spread the word across the country.

1961 Buick LeSabre convertible
This is an outstanding example of the least expensive series at Buick. Invicta and Electra were the ultimate Buicks. Notwithstanding, this has every luxury you would want, including air conditioning. That mirror image speedometer is a class act...Buick really stood for luxury.
