John Rains races his 89 Pontiac Trans Am turbo Coupe in D/BGC at the SCTA World Finals at Bonneville Speedway. This run is the first part of a class record previously held at 265. This run was a stout 284.909 MPH and was done on 22 PSI of Boost.
The 274 Cubic Inch V6 which was built by Ken Duttweiler features twin turbos, icewater to air aftercooler and Water Injection. The engine uses racing gasoline and is controlled by a MoTeC M8 Engine Management System and CDI-8 Ignition box which were calibrated by Shane Tecklenburg (Tuned By Shane T)
gm 5.7 350 Olds Turbo Diesel Station Wagon
Finally One year after its put in we have a video!!!! And 20,000 Miles Later. This is what we put the Oldsmobile turbo Diesel in, a 1988 Buick Estate Wagon. There is Some video of the engine running in the car and the pressure gauge. It runs up to about 7 Psi when we have a load while driving. Pretty nice running car, we have got up to 30MPG on the highway, and just regular daily driving we get an average of about 24MPG, from what my father said.

June 26, 2009 - Baseline testing for the next upgrade. Funny part is Mustang before me forgets to close his hood. Not so funny as my tires cool down waiting for him to get his act together. That rattling noise after launch is a lesson learned on how much the tranny actually moves under load and how much clearance to maintain from rotating parts...oops.

This is a short documentary I made for a class. Using mostly my own found footage, I give a commentary on "Sleepers" and my own personal experiences with them.
This video was intended to tell a story and be mildly entertaining/funny. No one in this film thinks they drive the fastest car on the planet. We are all aware of our limitations.

vs full bolt on, 3.55 gears, tuned 1998 Cobra. Regal: same setup as vs the 2011 v6
Vs 330whp low 12 second Vortech supercharged 2002 Mustang GT. Regal: TVS swap + 2.8'' pulley (14psi) and ethanol.
374whp with same mods as vs the blown GT
As always the Regal had stock heads and never had an Intercooler!
