Otherwise it's comfort mode. Sport mode makes the car go better through corners thanks to the "active body control" (ABC).
2014 Mercedes S-Class - assistance systems animation
Mercedes has officially unveiled the 2014 S-Class at the Airbus A380 delivery center in Hamburg, Germany.
Designed to become one of the most luxurious and advanced vehicles ever constructed, the 2014 S-Class has an evolutionary design that incorporates a sportier front fascia, a larger grille and a gentle slanting rear end. The sleek styling enables the model to have drag coefficient of 0.24 which is pretty impressive considering the pint-sized CLA has a drag coefficient of 0.23.

Bruno Sacco became to 12. November 1933 in Udine, Italy, born. A quarter of a century has passed since the birth of W124-series Mercedes E-class, yet every time we see it on the road it looks incredibly fresh to eyes. For sure, the timeless design by Bruno Sacco plays a major role in its evergreen status, but more important, the W124 was probably the best engineered car ever made. It was developed when Mercedes was still putting engineering -- instead of financial -- targets in first priority. Lengthy development and extensive testing process made it nearly flawless. It was so durable and reliable that most production cars still exist today. Provided proper maintenance, they can easily look like new cars !
2011 Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG
The top-of-the-range S-Class V8 model, the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG, is to benefit from a completely newly developed powertrain. The AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine with a peak output of up to 420 kW (571 hp) and a torque of up to 900 Nm, in combination with the unique AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, contributes towards a considerable reduction in consumption and emissions, while at the same time increasing maximum power and torque. With a fuel consumption of 10.5 litres per 100 kilometres (NEDC combined), the new high-performance Saloon not only undercuts its direct competitors - it is also more than 25 percent more economical in terms of its fuel consumption than the previous model with naturally aspirated V8 engine.
The new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG marks the start of a new chapter in the "AMG Performance 2015" drive strategy: Mercedes-AMG is continuing this impressive story and is meeting its promise to continuously reduce both the fuel consumption and emissions of new models with the new engine/transmission combination - while reaching new heights with the central AMG brand value of "performance".
According to Ola Källenius, head of Mercedes-AMG GmbH: "We are heading into a new era with the Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG: for the first time we have combined spray-guided direct petrol injection with biturbocharging and the start/stop system. Together with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 7-speed sports transmission, we have reduced both fuel consumption and emissions significantly - while at the same time increasing output and torque."
