For more than seven decades, BMW has created a brand known for distinct luxury and performance cars that deliver uncommon quality, performance, safety and value.
At first glance the 2008 BMW M3 could almost pass for a 3 series. The difference between the two is that the newly redesigned BMW M3 is a monster on the road in comparison! It's a relatively lightweight car with a powerful high revving BMW engine, and a chassis equipped with all the tools aimed for better performance. The 2008 M3 delivers a car that is practical as a daily driver that will go, stop, and steer, better than most cars in its class. It's a blast to drive, and you can fit 4 friends comfortably inside to enjoy the ride.
New for this M3 is a 414 horsepower V8!
Unique for 2008, this M3 sports a beefy V8 power plant instead of the inline-6 under the hood. The result is 414 horsepower compared to the 333 from the previous model. It has a specialized locking rear differential to manage the transfer of thrust to the pavement. With a newly performance focused design and top-notch build quality this car is a great pick for car buyers of the highest standard.
DSC -- Traction Control
EDC- Adjustable Suspension
Power - Throttle Response
Buttons that make you faster are always fun!
There are three buttons located next to the shifter that'll step this cars prowess up a notch. It's like the commercial with the easy button, except with BMW it's Power! It sounds like it'll make you jump into warp, but all this little feature does is quickens up the throttle response to make it feel more powerful. The Electronic Damper Control (EDC) is a processor-controlled wheel suspension system that adjusts the shock absorbers to changing road or driving conditions. You have three settings that can tighten up the suspension for a sportier more responsive feel of softer for a more comfortable drive. The DSC is for your traction control. Not supposed to tell you what to do when it's off, but when it's on it'll keeps you glued to the road. With the m-drive mode using the iDrive system you have further fine tuning control of EDC, Power, DSC, and adding the Servotronic steering system. It also has a race-face setting for the stability control system that allows fun stuff like power oversteer, but still intervenes if it senses things are getting out of hand.
Once inside this M3 you're sure to notice the layout of the cabin is roomy with excellent build quality. It has a sporty look with a clean layout and modern controls. BMW is known for detail savvy design with modern materials and trim and this M3 is a testament to that quality. The black leather seats are firm yet comfortable. They are deepset with side support for keeping you in place during aggressive cornering. This M3 is loaded with features like 19-inch alloy wheels, dynamic xenon headlamps, cruise control, automatic climate control, heated and power-adjustable sport seats, split/folding rear seats and a 10-speaker audio system with a 6 disc CD player and auxiliary audio jack. It has the integrated Bluetooth system that allows for hands free use of your cell phone.
Your entertainment features are all easily navigated using BMW's iDrive system. It uses a computer mouse/display concept allowing you to utilize functions through center console dial the and the dash monitor. Sounds complicated, but after practice, you'll find it's simple to use. Plus it allows for an abundance of features without the clutter of buttons and switches throughout the car. With keyless entry/start your keys never have to leave your pocket to unlock the doors and get going. Another nice safety feature is the parking sensors. On the display you'll see a radar like model of the car showing the distance of objects when in reverse. It'll help you keep this car scratch free and like new for years to come.
Easily the best feature of this car is the convertible top. You get the best of both worlds with a hardtop convertible. It's solid design keeps wind noise down and protects you from the elements when its up. When its down you you can enjoy the open air experience of driving.
Overall this car is very clean and almost new. It was professionally detailed inside and out to bring it back to its original luster. A 57-point inspection was performed and found no major mechanical issues needing repair. We also changed out the fluids and filled it with a full tank of gas, so it's ready for you right out the door. With low miles and in like new condition you're saving thousands off what it would cost you to get it new.
Driving My M3 On the Highway
I took the M3 out for a quick spin when the roads were dry and filmed my trip to and from the gym with my GoPro HD attached to the driver side window on the inside of my M3. The camera angle is interesting in these clips and I may use it again for future use.

2010 BMW M3 Test Drive
This is a quick drive of a 2010 BMW M3 sedan. This car has a 4.0 liter 414 HP V8 and is arguably the best 4-door performance sedan under $80k. Since the car only had 60 or so miles on it, we couldn't drive it to its full potential. Also, don't mind the poor shifting. My buddy was trying to get back into a stick-shift and was out of practice, but at least he didn't get an automatic...
