This time I recorded a white with black Ferrari 458 Italia at the Granturismo Events 2012 at the Nurburgring in Germany. The owner was very kind to rev a couple of times and accelerating pretty fast and close to me. I also recorded him doing a very fast flyby at the straight of the Nurburgring! Featuring a lower roof, more bulbous headlights and sharper tail-lights the front track is also wider, improving handling. The engines have received several tweaks too. The standard Carrera's 3.6-litre flat six cylinder engine is replaced by a smaller 3.4 that is more efficient but produces more power, at 345bhp. The 3.8-litre found in the Carrera S now produces 394bhp. Performance when fitted with the PDK twin-clutch gearbox and optional Sport Chrono Pack is very impressive. The standard Carrera sprints from 0-62mph in 4.4 seconds whilst the Carrera S can nail the benchmark in just 4.1 seconds. The interior has received a major makeover that is inspired by the Panamera, but with fewer switches. Most owners will opt for the PDK gearbox but Porsche also offer a seven-speed manual option - the first of it's kind in a production car.

2013 Subaru BRZ vs Porsche 911 Carrera S Mile High Mashup Review

They both have a similar type of flat engine, they both seat 2 comfortaby but you can get 4 people into the cars in a pinch, and they are both are classic rear wheel drive sports cars. Of course the Porsche cost 4X the money and has exactly 2X the horsepower of the BRZ and yet it is currently and possibly the most desired car by twenty something year olds. Fernando Alonso drives Ferrari 458 Spider
Right before the start of the race weekend of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Fernando Alonso wanted to try the new 458 Spider, which will be presented at the IAA Frankfurt next Tuesday. The Scuderia Ferrari driver enjoyed the potential of the 8-cylinder mid-rear engine from the Prancing Horse - with hard top and fitted with the same most advanced technological content as the multi-awarded 458 Italia and now available in an "en plein air" version - on the roads around Maranello. Alonso was extremely satisfied with the perfect combination of high performance, exceptional handling and the engine sound the 458 Spider is able to deliver.
