Benz tricycle starting
A Benz tricycle being started although on the day I filmed this it was
being stubborn and did start eventualy.
It produces a maximum of 0.75HP at about 400RPM running on floor polish.
This polish/cleaner has naptha oil in it and this is what it would have run
on when first built in 1886. Think of it as a stationary engine on wheels
with a park bench on top!

This is the engine out of the 1905 Darracq
The engine is the original but the car is a replica
It is a V8 of over 25 Litres capacity (approx 1550 Cubic inches)used in the
setting of the land speed record of about 108MPH (174KPH) in 1905

The first car ever running live! The Benz Motorwagen (1885)
This is rare footage of the world's first car's engine igniting & running.
After developing a successful gas-powered two-stroke piston engine in 1873,
Karl Benz focused on developing a motorized vehicle. His Patent Motorwagen
(or Motor Car), introduced in 1886, is widely regarded as the first
purpose-built automobile, that is a vehicle designed from the ground up to
be motorized. Benz unveiled it officially on July 3, 1886 on the
Ringstraße in Mannheim, Germany. The vehicle was patented with German
patent number 37435, which Benz applied for on January 29, 1886.

Mercedes 722.6 Transmission Shifting Problems Part 1: Do I Really Need a Complete Rebuild?
In this introduction to a multi part video series, Kent shares the shifting
problem he is having in his own E320 4matic wagon and what he plans to do
to try to fix it. The 722.6 transmission is not know for major internal
failure under 150,000 miles but it does suffer from a few common electrical
issues. 85 percent of the problems related to shifting can be attributed to
three components. Kent's shows and explains each of one these. In part 2 he
will show you how he pulls the diagnostic trouble code out of the engine
computer and what it might mean.
