my first autocross. 4th in class isnt too bad for my first time. my new tires really made a big difference.

The first set of revs is done with the stock air box, the second set is with an Alta CAI installed. You can hear and feel a substantial gain in responsiveness, especially in the 3000-6000rpm the turbo really whistles. Took me 10 minutes to install! Recommend it to all!

Here is a second upload of my MINI Cooper S. It's taken roughly a year later from my previous '2003 MINI Cooper S' video. It's not a fancy bit of footage, just virtually unedited clips of the car, which I hope you'll enjoy.
Since the last video my car has had a lot of changes even though it roughly looks the same.

Magnaflow custom exhaust Mini Cooper S R53 sound
Just wanted to share this with all the mini enthusiasts out there.
This is a Mini Cooper s (R53) with CAI and custom Magnaflow Exhaust, I bought the muffler number 11366 because it is the shortest one (11", against 14" of most of the other magnaflows) and will fit the space where the OEM "ball" was. The piping job was done in a local shop and I also bought the tips there.
I wanted to put a performance Exhaust on the mini without spending the $800-$1000 dollars necessary for the common "cat-back" Exhausts on the market, so I decided to buy the muffler and have a muffler shop make the custom tubing.
The whole thing cost me around $270 dollars, and I´m satisfied with the result, it is quiet at idle and the noise levels are comfortable inside the cabin if you drive normally. I didn´t want one of those really loud/fart Exhausts but something that will sound good and racing-like when you step on the gas.
The CAI is a GREEN filter with a heat shield I made.
UPDATE(Dec. 2009): installed 15% pulley and ALTA Intercooler diverter, definitely feels different and the SC sounds louder.
