The Vauxhall Astra GTC is an affordable, good-looking alternative to coupes like the VW Scirocco. It drives well, it's practical, and comes competitively equipped.
The styling may be a little conservative for style-conscious coupe buyers, and it won't match a Scirocco on resale values.

The VXR is based on beautiful Astra GTC which is a very good starting point. However, Vauxhall has beefed it up with a muscular body kit, huge alloy wheels and a rear spoiler. There's also a mechanical limited slip differential for improved traction when exciting corners while Vauxhall's HiPer Strut front suspension is designed to quell torque steer.

Good to look at and even better to drive, the Vauxhall Astra GTC is aimed at the likes of the Volkswagen Scirocco and Renault Megane Coupé. It's competitively priced and generously equipped. We particularly like the look of the car, and have been impressed by its sporty drive.
