1987 Buick Grand National (Regal T-Type Turbo) Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review

YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. Take a walk around this 1986 Buick Regal Grand National,hand restore custom build with stagger wheels from Boyd Coddington Roy Schmidt the hot rod builder. This GN feature a Hi-Performance engine with drive-line. Restobuilder : Steve V Naidu 86 Fully restore and performance rebuild.Stock 231cu.in short block, R series heads, ball bearing turbo, corvette disc brake, fully loaded (A/C, dual power seats, remote mirror, electric sunroof, hydro Boost braking system, FMIC, and many more. the engine is Build to produce 900 whp but it will handle 600hp currently due to suspension. I am currently build the suspension for Excellent road performance. Max Effort R (Max effort-r)MAF-less Efi by Eric Marshall Steve Yaklin Bob Baley SUCKS!. it will wash down piston ring from excess fuel to promote wear to the rings. 1966 Buick Convertible Barn Find Rescue, Part 1
This is the story of a '66 Buick Special convertible that had been abandoned in Arizona in 1978 by the family of Rick Pewe, editor of 4-Wheel & Off-Road magazine. In 2011, the guys from HOT ROD Magazine, in conjunction with Rick, spent four days bringing the car back from the dead with plans to drive it home from Phoenix to Los Angeles. This is a bit difficult to do for the Regal since it almost never had the same setup on it for more than a few weeks! Anyway I'll try my best! Z34 - Intake and chip. Stock at the time of the Iroc-Z race. SHO - SHO SHOp catless Ypipe (That's it!!!) (Stock during most of the Races in this Video) vs tuned turbo Cobalt at the Track. Regal: Headers, mild cam, pulley, tune and intake Vs stock G8. Regal: same mods as above 11.9 @ 112 in the 1/4 on slicks with some c16 race gas mixed in, m90 blower (stock) Vs full bolt on, gears, tuned 2011 Mustang v6. Regal: TVS swap with stock TVS pulley. 7psi of Boost. vs full bolt on, 3.55 gears, tuned 1998 Cobra. Regal: same setup as vs the 2011 v6 Vs 330whp low 12 second Vortech supercharged 2002 Mustang GT. Regal: TVS swap + 2.8'' pulley (14psi) and ethanol. 374whp with same mods as vs the blown GT As always the Regal had stock heads and never had an Intercooler! Thanks for all the comments!
