Tug-O-War Truck Night Yankee Lake 5-6-11
Hillbilly Proud made it to Truck Night at Yankee Lake in Brookfield, OH for the first time on May 6, 2011. Truck Night was a blast and Yankee Lake is pretty awesome. The mudding park is open every Friday through the summer and some Saturdays. The park features many holes, mud trails, hill climbs, rock crawling, and a tug-o-war pad. There is also music and dancing, lots of vendors, and plenty to eat. Hopefully we'll make it back soon.
Titan vs Lightning

Before the ignorant and naive start crying, yes, for the first pull, the Titan was in 4 high. That was just for kicks and to mess with the ford owner. ( a good friend and a bit of a whack job). After that, the Titan stayed in 2 high. Complain and compare all you want, we did this just for the fun of it. To be fair, I offered to race him too, and I will most likely be left in the dust like no one's buisness.

Chevy Rescues Ford Pickup in Deep Water, Grayland, Washington
It was about 1:00 PM today 7/17/2010 when a driver and 3 passengers were traveling south on the Grayland beach. About 5 miles south of Westport. It is legal to drive on the uppermost part of the wet sand on the beach in Grayland. They were traveling along the surf line when they drove out onto a sand spit. The driver drove off the sand spit into a deep trench caused by tidal action. The impact was vilant enought to send one passenger to the hospital with a non- life threatining head injury. She was treated by Grayland Fire Department and South Beach EMS then transported to Grays Harbor Community Hospital. The male driver and two other female passengers were uninjured other than being very cold and wet. A very dedicated tow truck operator, Justin Jones with South Beach Towing raced to the scene and quickly got to work. Justin along with the driver of the pickup waded shoulder deep threw the cold salt water, to connect a tow rope to the Ford Diesel Pickup and pulled the rope with a South Beach Towing pickup breaking the strong suction of the soft sand holding the partially submereged vehical in place. Once the suction of the sand was releaved the pickup began to float as water rushed up the hood and icechests floated about the back of the pickup. Justin Jones, the tow truck operator worked hard to get the Ford to dry land however he estimates that the diesel pickup will be a total loss. A Washington State Park Officer stated that the driver will be issued a citation however it was unknown what citation he will be issueing. I do know it is unlawful to drive next to the surf line at low tide do to that being razor clam habitat. UPDATE 7/24/2010. I just found out that the lady transported to the hospital sustained a broken neck. I hope she has a speedy full recovery.
