This is a Survival Motorsports built 505 inch FE race engine on the Dyno. It made just under 800 horsepower! Compression is 12.2:1, running Blue Thunder heads and a Victor intake with a single Dominator. Survival stroker 4.250 crank and Scat H beam rods.
Sorry about the water on the floor and steam - we were testing during a friggin' monsoon and the rainwater started pouring in through the Dyno room fan opening - sideways! Did not seem to hurt anything - but it never done that before...

FORD 428 Cobra Jet Maverick Recovery - 10 Second Old School Toy
This picture compilation is the Big Block 428 FE Maverick over the last 23
years from 1986 to 2009. Pics from when it was bought and built in 1986,
then sold (traded-off) in 1992, then dismantled and lost in a barn, then
back to us in 2008 for recovery. Thanks for watching!

Ford 390 FE dyno run - stroked to 445 cubes - 521 horsepower
This is a Survival Motorsports built 445 FE, based on a Ford 390 engine.
Compression is 9.8:1 and it is running on pump premium. Heads and intake
are modified Edelbrock parts. Cam is a custom hydraulic roller for great
power and no break-in worries. Carb is a Holley 750 double pumper. Oil
pan on this one is a special Canton dual sump "T" type for rack & pinion
conversions on earlier Mustangs - pretty trick.
Engine made 521 horsepower at 5800 RPM,
revving freely past 6000. Torque was really strong and flat curve - over
530 from 4000RPM all the way through 5000RPM.
