Just got back from a dump trip and found this Agway at the dump (dumpled?). I somehow managed to push it into the truck myself along with some scotts push mower with a knocking tecumseh. The issue with this tractor is the deck always engages when you hit a bump thanks to a worn height adjuster.
19HP Murray Ultra Garden Tractor
Picked this one up for free off Craigslist this week. Came with a plow, bagger and some crap that has nothing to do with the tractor. With a little work it ended up running great!
Starting the Sears Companion tractor, 1st time in 7 years
Once upon a time this was king of the fleet. Then the mandrel got wrecked courtesy of some jerk ass from the town, and it got dumped here and never touched again. Until now...
Tractorland got some mini bikes
Found these in the scrap bin at work. They are probably for kids, but I couldn't leave something motorized in the trash. I found out who chucked them out and am supposed to be getting the chargers for the small ones and he might have the broken recoil off the gas one. Supposedly thats all that was wrong with it!
Snowblower from Hell
NOTE: This snow blower is NOT our primary snow removal machine, but is for show and entertainment only. 1. Our neighbors think it's neat 2. No we're not rednecks with "too much time on our hands," my husband is just skilled with small engines and 3. If you're just going to piss and moan, go do it somewhere else!
340 Pro-Mod Snow blower, destroying snow. This is a 1979 Wheel Horse blower with a 1979 340 Arctic Cat snowmobile engine.
Agway Accelerator Hay Conditioner
Harvesting premium quality hay is often out of your control, relying on good weather and a lot of luck. Producers are now seeing the beneits of conditioning hay for consistently better results. The Agway Accelerator is your fastest way to better hay by reducing drying time, creating greener, sweeter and softer hay.
winching up a tractor
When you gotta pickup a tractor yourself, a winch is the best way to go.
Start and drive the 1980 Montgomery Ward 10/38 lawn tractor
Here's the rusty 'ol yellow Montgomery Ward tractor in action. It's a got a 10hp Briggs & Stratton and a 3-speed gear drive trans. I started it up for the first time since June of 2008 and tested everything out, seems to work as well as I recall. I was actually kinda surprised that an engine with breaker points stored outdoors for so long actually fired. The orange Montgomery Ward has the same engine, and it sat outside covered and for half the time as this one and it won't spark now. Go figure...
Cutting the transmission off the Toro
Its time to junk this POS. The pully was rusted on and for that reason it sat here for almost a year longer than it should. MY new friend the plasma cutter will make short work of this. This is a real awesome tool that can make extemley precise cuts in steel if you take your time and have a steady hand. I was impatient and trying to hold a camera while using it, so it took longer and looked like crap.
Sears Craftsman FF20 Garden Tractor: First start and drive
We finally got this beast running after fixing a stuck intake valve (it did run before, but on one cylinder). This is the first start and drive after the repair. It still needs some work, the carb needs to be choked constantly at full throttle, and the cylinder that had the stuck valve smokes like crazy. All in all, its an awesome tractor.
I curbled a 1977 Wheelhorse B-81
Just picked this up off the side of the road (curbled; to pickup an item from the side of the road) this vintage 1977 wheelhorse B-81. Garage kept, no rust. I'll have to see if this one runs.
And I took care of defining curbled: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=curbled
