Repairing and retexturing a Ford Explorer bumper cover
This video demonstrates, from start to finish, how to repair a textured
plastic bumper cover using a hot air plastic welder. After the plastic
welding is complete, the dents and low spots in the bumper are filled with
epoxy filler which is then sanded down to match the original contour. The
bumper cover is then retextured with MicroTex texture material from
Urethane Supply Company. Finally, the bumper cover is painted with Bumper
and Cladding Coat so that it matches the original color.

2000 Ford Contour SE
First video ever. Recorded by my lovely assistant on my phone.
This is for those who own one and have no idea how to put the brakes back
on after fighting to get them off. It is not a full tutorial as I forgot
to record it until I was almost done, but I had to start all over because I
didn't do it this way the first time.
It cuts out during the last spring. Basically I had to bend the hook back
into place and then press it in with a flat head screwdriver. Then you
just tweak the adjuster, position the shoes on the plate with all the
springs attached and put the drum on. Of course if you remove the wheel
cylinders like I did then you'll have to install them as well. Remember to
bleed the brakes. I used a vise-grip on the brake lines to keep the fluid
from draining out when I removed the cylinders, that way you don't have to
bleed the entire system, just the backs and it only takes a few pumps of
the brake pedal to do it.

Ford MAF Sensor Testing, 12V Power
Ford MAF Sensor Testing, 12V Power
You do not need a Scan Tool to test the Mass Air Flow Sensor on your Ford.
Here, we'll walk you through the whole process of testing and
troubleshooting the FORD Mass Air FLow sensor, using only a Multimeter.
Although the mass air flow sensor on your Ford is inside the round Air
Filter canister assembly and hidden from view, it can be diagnosed in four
The Mass Air Flow Sensor on your FORD may have 6 or 4 wires coming out of
the Plastic Round Air Filter Box. If the ford mass air flow sensor has 6
wires, this indicates that the Air Temperature Sensor is integrated within
the mass air flow sensor itself. If it's a 4 wire sensor, then the Air Temp
Sensor is located externally, usually on the Air Duct connecting the Round
Air Filter Assembly to the Throttle Body. Get the scoop on testing your
FORD MAF sensor.

Check Engine Light Basics - EricTheCarGuy
If you have the code you can look up what it means here
Sorry about the camera focus on this one, whenever I use my wide angle lens
it tends to do this. Aside from that I have a lot of video shot that I
don't intend to post here because of time constraints, these videos will be
made available at a later date through the EricTheCarGuy website. I used
this video because I didn't have anything else this week that I could use
for the show and I like to do at least one a week if I can. I have lots
more scheduled so stay tuned in the coming weeks.
As for Check Engine Lights they come in all shapes and sizes, sometimes
they are easy to diagnose and others can be a bit more challenging. I plan
to do an entire series on this subject so don't consider this the last time
I will cover this. The point of this video is to familiarize yourself
with the basic hook up of a scan tool to read the codes stored in the on
board computer nothing more, I got a bit carried away with my O2 sensor
explanation and had to cut most of it. Much of what I cut from these will
also be available at a later date as a series of "Tips" that may be made
available on future shows or on DVD depending on the subject.

specific to the vehicle that you may be working on.
I hope these help, have a great day.

You need a Library card and you're all set. It sure beats opening up
Chilton books at a parts store then having to pay for it because you did.
Best of all you can do this all at home.
