Classic Chevy Medium Duty Trucks {C40,C50,C60, and C70}
These trucks were sold as cab and chassis for many different bodies, but they all had similar cabs and front ends. Many different engines were used, ranging from a small block 366ci V-8, to a 427ci big block V-8. Detroit diesels were an option in C60s and C70s (6-71 in the early years and 8.2 litre in later years). There were probably other variations that I don't know about. I have always liked the styling of these trucks more than Fords
of the same era. It's sad that so many of these trucks are suffering a slow and painful death by rust and corrosion because they have been left out in someone's field and completely forgotten. Maybe in a few years I'll be able to scavenge an old one and try to restore it to working condition. I'd love to have a C60 427 flatbed truck!

zero to 45 in big red. between 3500 RPMs in 1st, 4000 RPMS in 2nd & 3rd, then 2500 in fourth to fifth. Coming back from a trip to the dump. She weighed 10134 with no load.

Old Farm Cars For Scrap
junkyardjunkeez.com Sam and Hooper look around an old farm yard that is going to be cleaned out for scrap. There are cars and trucks beside the combines, tractors and other old machinery. A 1968 Ford truck brings back memories for Sam, while Hooper reminisces over a 1965 Dodge car.
