9 Second Buick GSX Stage2 GS Stage1 9.51 @ 140
We originally built this car with Frank Urbinati back in 1996.It debuted at the GS Nationals where it won the GS Pro Street class races. It was also the 1st GS Pro Street class car to break into the 9's at the time. Thanks to Frank this project came to life. Fast forward to 2010 and the car has been taken over by Bob Ortolani, the car still looks great and Bob decided to bring it up another level. We were happy to have the car come back to our shop and to have the opportunity to work with Bob and put together the new powerplant. The video shows the results of our 1st day out to tune the engine. The 1st two passes were shakedowns to check fuel/oil pressures and get a feel for the new combo. By the 3rd run we had posted a 9.62 @ 138 hitting the 7100rpm rev limiter chip! The 4th run was a 9.52 @ 140. On the 5th run it went 9.51 @ 140.65! After a good cool down and a timing adjustment we were ready to try for a 9.40 run, launching right off idle the car gave us a nice big unexpected wheelie! The wheelie sure lookes cool but we know we can go quicker with a little more suspension work to straighten out the launch and try to keep the front down. We're sure it'll go into the 9.40's yet and maybe even 30's after everything is worked out.
Me and my Buick
The Buick Riviera production came to an end November 1999.
My Buick is only one of 2,174 Rivieras made that year. My first car was a 1955 Morris Minor soft top, then a 1950 Pontiac straight 8, a 1958 Ford Fairlane with Police interceptor engine, Ford Taunus in Germany and a Peugeot 404, Opel Rekord sedan, MGB GT, 74 & 76 BMW,1977 opel station wagon,1979 Diesel Cutlas,1980 Tornado Diesel,97 Riviera and this 99 Riviera has been the best of them all.
170,000 miles still goes strong and best ride ever getting hard to find parts though

My 11 years old son was playing with the toy (hyd switches). 2 batt hyd system with accumulators works very gently.
Clean 1995 Buick Riviera
Showing my Riviera and what I've done to it so far. I'm not planning on getting too crazy with it, probably some chrome 20" 100 spoke wire wheels and probably replace the interior lights with some green LED's.
My '95 Buick Riviera
This video is part of many videos from Car Day at my house. Car Day is when we take out all our Buicks, clean them up, then line them up for pictures. After that we take drive-by videos, at least on the cars that have changed or new cars we have. This is my '95 Riviera with a subtle but audible Supercharger whine. It's louder nowadays so maybe I'll take a new video soon.

Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we'll take an up close and personal, in depth look at my 1995 Buick Riviera. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

1980 Buick Riviera Dealer Demonstration
This is form a 1979 promotional LaserDisc that I found it is for 1980 model year Buick's.
In 1978 GM contracted with Pioneer and MCA/DiscoVision to put the Pioneer PR-7800 LaserDisc player into its dealerships, the discs where to be used for demonstrations as in this disc or for training purposes.
Now in the early days of laserDisc manufacture there was a very high failure rate, sometimes as high as 85% during the mastering/pressing process, so that left a lot of sides of discs that where unusable. Well these where used to fill the blank side of a disc, the "dead" side was then coated with a special plastic that was clear to the human eye, but it would not reflect the laser beam, thus the side would not play. Well the coating can be removed with rubbing alcohol, which is what I did.
These reject discs will ONLY play on the older style of laserDisc player that uses a laser tube.
Riviera (Raw) by Buick - 1993
Ever wonder what the raw film footage looked like (prior to editing) while filming the infamous Buick commercials of the early 90's? Here's a rare look at some raw footage of the 1993 Riviera, set to "Buick" theme song music. Enjoy!
1978 Buick Riviera
Now this fine car is for sale! Beautiful paint! Certainly a classy ride! One of the few cars of the late 70's that has achieved definite collectible status...what a great cruiser!
