Choppers, bobbers, rat-bikes, vintage cafe racers and every kind of wild oddity in between, nobody does American custom hot-rod culture for bikes on the West Coast like the annual Born Free show in Irvine, Ca. Jamie Robinson wades into a sea of black leather, denim, burly beards, Daisy Dukes and thousands of motorcycles to see what it's all about. For more on motorcycles, visit hellforleathermagazine.com
Getting dirty with Roland Sands Design - RideApart
Roland Sands is a 250GP AMA champion and the force behind the Roland Sands Design firm that creates aftermarket parts for motorcycles, fashion apparel, custom bikes and a new line of safety gear for riders. He may still look like a teenager, but this industry veteran is spearheading the next generation of American motorcycling leaders. For more on motorcycles, visit hellforleathermagazine.com.
The $3,000, brand-new motorcycle - RideApart
At just $3,195, both the Cleveland CycleWerks Misfit cafe racer and Heist bobber massively undercut every other motorcycle out there. At just 250cc, they're also smaller than most bikes. Bargain or bogus? Grant and Wes take CCW CEO Scott Colosimo riding in the California desert to find out. For more on motorcycles and CCW, check out http://hellforleathermagazine.com
The Perfect Vehicle for the City - RideApart
America loves big motorcycles. But, in dense urban traffic, those bigger bikes make navigating difficult, cumbersome and downright frustrating for even the most experienced bikers, much less beginners. Grant Ray, Jamie Robinson and Wes Siler downsize with 3 small bikes under $4500, and take to the congested streets of LA to find out just how much better smaller can be. Mitch Allread: Don't Call it a Rat Rod... - BIG MUSCLE
It packs a 400 hp diesel out of a Ford F-350, a Dana 80 rear-end, and a look and feel that would make Max Rockatansky feel right at home. This is Mitch Allread's custom fabricated creation and it is, without a doubt, one of the coolest things on the road today. This is a machine that transcends the traditional hot rod formula by breaking down borders and setting its own stage.
Whereas most hot-rods are built by custom shops utilizing parts from mail order catalogs, Mitch took a different approach and fabricated just about everything on his ride by hand. Calling this a rat-rod would be an insult - a work of art however... that'd be just fine.

Two-Wheeled Time Machines: Racing Vintage Motocross -- RideApart
Two-stroke powerbands, not much suspension and rubbish brakes. For Jamie, racing vintage motocross is like going back in time to his childhood. For Wes, it's a terrifying introduction to dirt bikes, doubly so on a '79 Yamaha YZ490, the fastest MX bike of its era.

Why Quad Bikes Are Awesome - RideApart
Four wheels like a car, but handlebars and a saddle like a motorcycle. With quad bikes, it's almost like someone took the most awesome part of driving — drifting — and combined it with the most exciting thing about riding dirt bikes — jumping — to create a vehicle with a single purpose: hooning. Grant and Wes take off into the OHV park of Hungry Valley in the Los Padres National Forest onboard Suzuki Z400s and a King Quad to try and get as dirty as possible.

Why everybody hates harley riders
Video response to "No wonder Harley Riders Hate Sportbike Riders"
This clip was filmed in Australia where vehicles drive on the LEFT side of the road. The overtaking (or passing) lane is the RIGHT lane.
Yamaha XS 650 Bobber, Hardtail
Here is my Yamaha XS 650 bobber. This was built from a 1982 Heritage XS 650. The back has been hardtailed with a TC Brothers kit, forward controls, Gordon Scott curved drag pipes. Engine is basically stock except I've jetted the carbs up. Future plans include paint, big bore kit, VM series carbs, and a Pamco ignition. Currently I'm running a Yamaha stock TCI ignition. This vid was shot shortly after it's first start in many years...I bought the bike in boxes last winter...

About the film:
Two hours of UNSEEN FOOTAGE & OUTTAKES from the original Choppertown shoot.
YES, this movie is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT footage than Choppertown: the Sinners...if you already have Choppertown: the Sinners you gotta have this DVD!
"After receiving accolades for their motorcycle documentary Choppertown: The Sinners, co-directors Scott Di Lalla and Zack Coffman took their unused footage from the film and created a follow-up, Choppertown: From the Vault. Fortunately for them and us, there was plenty of good material left over, so this disc is not just a bunch of deleted scenes, but a fine companion to the original." ~ Mac MacEntire, DVDVerdict.com
