Arnie Beswick's "Mystery Tornado" '64 GTO and longnose '66 GTO racing at Cordova Dragway 6-26-10
This match race took place during the 2010 NostalgiaFest at historic Cordova Dragway, in Cordova, Illinois and was the first of two races by the pair. The '64 car is a clone of the original "Mystery Tornado", while the '66 car is the restored original racer driven by Arnie Beswick during the 1966 and '67 seasons. Both cars ran in the 11 second range.
Wicked 64 Pontiac Hot Rod Tempest
This is my wicked 64 Pontiac Tempest. The fresh 469 CID was recently fired. After fixing a few bugs it was fired a few weeks later and runing much cooler and better. She's running between 180-185 degrees. It has around 600 HP and will be on the road in about a month. I'm going to take it to the Pontiac Buick Olds Show at Summit Labor day weekend.

The car is a 68' GTO outfitted with a tube chassis, a bored and stroked 455, turbo 400 with a brake, and many other goodies. Thanks to dad i was able to make passes all weekend long and managed 9.61ET regardless that the slicks on the car are 15YEARS OLD!!! Oh... and i forgot to mention, the altitude this day was above 3800ft.
