Touring Car Masters Jim Richards Reveals his '73 AMC AMX Javelin which will race the 2012 tcm season and debut at the clipsal 500 adelaide
Jim Richards Racing kindly invited a few Javelin Car Club members along to the factory to have a close up look at the recently completed Bruce Tyson Built Javelin.
Everyone was very impressed, Particularly at the attention to detail throughout this magnificent machine. And the sound of that engine was just brilliant. After a 2 year build, it was well worth the wait. We look forward to watching the amc Javelin winning races.
Thanks to Jim and his crew for answering loads of questions from the keen Javelin owners and we wish you all the best for the season.
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona in a junk yard
1969 Dodge Charger Daytona in a junk yard. I have seen this ultra rare Daytona in a junkyard visable from the road. I was going to take a few pictures of it on the next nice day and went by the yard and it was gone. I asked and it was moved around back. It turns out its a CLONE was was done very poorly and quite a few years ago. The car was tubbed and had a 440. The car is for sale they said.

1973 AMC Javelin AMX
When is a Javelin also an AMX? Jack Boughton explains how he came to own this unique 401 cubic inch Javelin/AMX and what he's done since the day he drove it off the lot when it was brand new. Lance Lambert, host of television's "Vintage Vehicle Show", learns why, among other things, the interior of Jack's car is so unusual. 1970 AMC Javelin 390 4 speed drive around
My father's AMC Javelin doing a short drive around. He is thinking of selling the car, so if anyone is interested send me a message with an offer. Again, he is only thinking about it--he is interested to see what kind of offers he gets. The numbers all match and the rebuilt engine, the second, has about 55,000 miles on it and the paint has been redone at some point in the past. It is a four speed with a Hurst shifter (original) There is slight rust on the quarter panels but other than that, the body is straight. All right--enjoy!
The AMC Javelin Twist
Grabbed a couple of the nicer Javelin videos off the tube, cut them up and set them to a classic tune. Enjoy!
1969 AMX (SS/AMX) sounds tuff, at the Mopar Nationals, IN, 1997
We are at the Mopar Nationals in Indianapolis, IN. The AMC cars had an invite to the show. Jeff Kennedy and myself volunteer our time to help out with the parking as members of the AMO. A fine sounding SS AMX pulls into park on the show field. There where only 53 of these cars built for racing only. 8-1997. tHANKS FOR WATCHING
One last short burn-out with my HOT 1969 AMC Javelin
In June of 2008 I was forced to sell my beloved 69 Javelin because of medical problems that my wife was having, and loss of work time, and pay, to be by her side no matter what it takes. The bills still keep coming in, and I need to turn her into cash. My 1969 AMC Javelin 1 hour before the new owner picked up the car. I have owned for almost 40 years. It has a built 343, 30 over, Crane cam & kit, Hooker Headers, Offy 360 manifold, 4 speed, 3:91 posi rear, Lalewood tracton bars. It is a very strong runner, and I am still crying over the loss, that will never be able to be replaced. The second part of the clip is my sons 1968 AMX. At least he will carry on the AMC tradition in the family. Maybe he will let me get behind the wheel sometime. UPDATE!!! Nov 2008... The new owner has informed me that he had blown the motor up, iy only has 9000 miles on it since a total restoration almost 25 years ago. Way to go!!!! I should have sold my Corvette and kept my Javelin. Boy did I screw up!!!
UPDATE 3/04/2012. I once agin have a smile on my face, as I just purchased a fantastic looking BBG 1969 AMX. It sounds and looks a lot like my BBG Javelin.
