Video tribute to my 1999 Mercury Cougar
7 years ago today I brought home what has turned into a very important piece of my life. This car has helped me mature as a human being, has given me some of the happiest times of my life, and helped me meet some wonderful friends along the journey. It is currently broken down, and I cannot afford the repairs it needs to get it back on the road again. Whether it will ever run again remains to be seen. I decided to put this video together so that others can take the journey of the past 7 years with me, and experience some of the highs and lows I have gone through. 99% of the work that has ever been done to this car has been done with my own two hands and with the help of some very talented friends. In the past 7 years, I have probably put enough money into this car to have bought a new one perhaps multiple times over. I wouldn't trade the past 7 years for the world, they have been an amazing part of who I am today.

99 mercury cougar engine noise HELP!!
this sound recently started in my 1999 mercury cougar 6 automatic. new belt, so im guessing it is one of the pulleys, any idea ?

Ford Duratec 2.5 V6, healthy engine - fine economy and power. No signs of big-end or little-end problems.
This is just to demonstrate "injector clacking" - the noise the solenoids in fuel injectors make. After a spate of queries on the forums, I figured it best to post what I consider to be the sound of a perfectly healthy engine.
Notice how the noise doesn't get any louder as the RPM increases - they just fire off more frequently. If your noise gets louder, or doesn't sound like this, then something may well be amiss...
Mercury Cougar Start Up and Test Drive
1999 Mercury Cougar that me and my sister took for a short drive. This is my job, aside from detailing, I am also a lot porter and I am responsible for driving all the cars every now and then and checking them out to see if everything is in proper order. This cougar has a 10" Memphis PR subwoofer, Memphis amp, and a Sony Xplod head unit.
Subaru Impreza 10000 RPM engine
Takhle vypada subaru motor kteremu upadne ventil v 10000 otackach. - This is Subaru engine, broken valve in 10000 RPM. This was not poorly tuned, EGT and AFR was right, Problem was in material of one of the Cosworth valves, there was air bubble in it and it broke apart. This was not one shot as you think, this car was running few months before this and it is running again fine after repair. But we changed manufacturer of vents :-)
