You are bidding on a rare set of hubcaps for 1960 Imperial LeBarons. A one year only cap specific to LeBarons. These are what I would consider a very nice driver set. They have their imperfections, but finding one in perfect condition is not exactly an easy task. These are extremely hard to find in any condition. Hubcap #1 on top left is quite nice. Very minimal dings and no curb scrapes. The flipper bars are not pitted up. The cast center is nice and the plastic insert still has crisp colors and not cracked. The plastic inserts had a really bad design from Chrysler. The studs that hold them on were made of plastic which were held on by metal clips. Over the years thru vibration and age, these clips tended to break off. So even finding one with a center is hard to find. All of these caps I would suggest attaching with a glue or silicone of some sort to keep them from coming off. Uncertain if they even reproduce these centers anymore. Some of these are only being held on by one clip and one was silicone by a previous owner. Regardless....they are all there. Hubcap #2 has slight curb rash and some minor dings as well. The dings are mainly in the thin sunken area where they can be reached. Hubcap #3 has the best hubcap as far as dings go and no curb scrapes. Very minor dings in sunken ridge of cap. The cast center has some pitting, the plastic center has fading, and some of the cast flipper bars have some mild pitting.. Hubcap #4 is the worst of the bunch but far from horrible. It has curb scrapes along most of the ridge and multiple dings. The cast center is quite nice, but the plastic center has fading. All caps will need some sort of restoration if you are looking for show quality. Still a very nice set as is and extremely hard to find.
