Yes, this is real :) BMW used a zipper system to install the rear window in your Z3, making any future replacement of the rear window an easy do it yourself job. The old window is simply unzipped and removed and then the replacement window is zipped in. The entire installation is done without removing or replacing the top itself!

High Quality Plastic Window The plastic of the original factory window can easily get scratched, but not this one! The plastic in this z3 replacement window is tougher and more resistant to scratching. Because this replacement window is also more flexible, it makes it more resistant to creasing and cracking and it will not retain those folds marks created by leaving the top down for long periods of time. Rubber Bead Trime The trim around the edge of the window is usually the first thing to break down and go bad from sun exposure and wear and tear of being folded in with the top.
