This is a real deal factory AM FM Stereo radio for 1970 Ford Mustangs. The model number is 0FBZ. This radio was made specifically for 1970 Mustangs only and was a factory installed option. It is also the same as 1968-69 Mustangs and Cougars if the "Cougar" callout if polished off the lens. This is the real deal!
This radio is in good original condition as shown. It is very clean and was likely removed from a car very early in its life. I see no breaks, modifications, or repairs to this radio. The dial is in very good shape as shown. The lens is clean with no cracks, yellowing, or repairs. All pushbuttons and dials work as they should. The case of the radio is in good condition with no corrosion or other damage and the factory decals and ink stampings are still intact as shown. The wiring is in great shape with the factory connectors intact.. This is simply a very nice factory AM FM Stereo radio.
This radio has been tested and plays on both AM and FM bands. Both channels play loud and clear. The stations on the FM band are off a bit. For example, the station 104.3 is at about the 101 position on the dial. I believe this is a simple adjustment that can be handled during a routine service/tune up. After decades of cool dry storage this radio should be serviced before installation to ensure trouble free use. I took a video of this radio being tested.
