This auction is for the PARTS ONLY to rebuild all 5 hydraulic cylinders. If you would like the comprehensive 43-page manual, please see ebay item number 280773278277. (Click the link at the top to see my other items.)Is your headliner wrinkled and bubbled? Do you have oilspots in your trunk? If so, the hydraulic cylinders that retract yourconvertible hardtop are most likely leaking.Lucky for you, you’ve found an affordable, permanent way to fix ALL FIVE HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS in your retractable hardtop\'shydraulic system yourself! Please note: Luckily, the two small, spindly actuators that raise the trunk lid rarely leak--and if they do, they are easy enough to remove from the car. That\'s because these actuators require special drill bits and a hydraulic press to rebuild. (Simply contact me for the name and number of the shop that rebuilds these two rams using the o-rings included in the kit. The other three actuators are easily rebuilt by the DIYer.)Yes, this project is easy enough for DIYers. Just ask anyof my THOUSANDS of satisfied customers. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwisewith fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD) marketing--or outright misinformation. In a recentcustomer-satisfaction survey, 100 percent of responding customers indicatedthat this project was simple to do, the manual (not included in this auction; see ebay item number 280773278277) was easy to understand, and thatyears later the o-rings are still working perfectly.

Ten reasons why you should choose this rebuild kit:REASON 1: No need to remove the actuators from your car and send them off for who knows how long. The hydraulic lines are permanently affixed to the actuators at the factory. And fishing those thin, stiff hydraulic lines through the various tight cavities of the SLK is incredibly difficult and time-consuming. Just consider trying to get the lines in and out of the B pillar. Not my idea of fun. (Note: You may have to remove the trunk-lid actuators from the car if you choose to have someone else rebuild them, but they are comparatively easy to do so.)

REASON 2: Here’s the root of the problem: The polyurethanematerial that Mercedes used for the seals in the five hydraulic cylinders thatretract your hardtop deteriorates within 5 to 10 years’ time. It also isn’tchemically compatible with the hydraulic fluid they use. THIS IS THE SAME POLYURETHANEMATERIAL THAT OTHERS INSTALL WITH THEIR \"SERVICE.\" Go figure. Sothose seals are continually breaking down and eventually leak--this isespecially the case in warmer climates. If you’re reading this, you’ve unfortunatelyalready seen the results for yourself.

REASON3: The o-rings in this kit are composed of Nitrile rubber. This rubber WON’T break down like the Mercedes seals, ensuring a leak-free repair that will last a lifetime.REASON 4:This kit contains all the parts you need to rebuild ALL FIVE of the problematic hydraulic cylinders: the one above the headliner that locksthe top to the windshield, the two in the front of the trunk thatraise the top, and the two on the sides of the trunk that raise the trunk lid. The other three actuators are easily rebuilt by the DIYer.)

REASON 5: The repair takes as little as 4 hours fromstart to finish--with common tools that you already have in your garage. Andit\'s actually fun and easy!

REASON 6: If you go to the dealer, they are going to quote you something in theneighborhood of $4,000 to fix the problem. Now, that’s a niceneighborhood, but the Mercedes parts are only going to leak again. Thatis just insanity. And I feel for those people who have been suckered inby the “stealer” for that repair, lacking other options. It reallyshould be a warranty issue, as Mercedes screwed up--the actuators should have been built witho-rings in the first place.REASON 7:If you need information on how to rebuild the cylinders, you can check out my other auctions for this same rebuild kit paired with my comprehensive 43-page instruction manual that walks you step by step through the repair process. It features more than 100 highly detailed photos. (Note: This auction is only for the five o-rings. The instruction manual is not included. See ebay item number 280773278277 if you want the instruction manual, too. Click the link at the top of the auction to see my other items.) REASON 8: My stellar ebay feedback rating.
REASON 9: You can\'t beat the price!

REASON 10: Your money back if you\'re not satisfied. Butyou should know that I\'ve sold THOUSANDS of these kits to date--to many manysatisfied customers. :) People love this kit!
