FULLY REBUILT TWIN H4 SU 1" 1/2 CARURETTORS SPECIAL TUNING CONVERSION KIT FOR MG MIDGET, AUSTIN HEALEY SPRITE/FROGEYE. SEBRING/WORKS/FORMULA. THE SET UP HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REFURBISHED, COMES COMPLETE WITH CARBURETTORS, LINKAGES, INLET MANIFOLD, SPACERS, HEATSHIELD, FUEL LINE AND CABLE FITMENTS.
THE SET UP HAS BEEN COMPLETELY STRIPPED DOWN, CARBURETTORS DOWN TO THE BARE BODIES, COMPONENTS VAPOUR, STEEL COMPONENTS BLASTED, POLISHED AND ZINC PLATED. DASH POT TOPS AND BRASS COMPONENTS POLISHED. REBUILT WITH NEW SU PARTS INCLUDING SPINDLES, JETS, NEEDLE VALVE AND SEATS, BUTTERFLY/THROTTLE DISCS, GASKETS, SEALS, GLANDS AND WASHERS. SET UP TO FACTORY SETTINGS READY TO FIT.
CARB BODIES HAVE BEEN REBUSHED.
IDEAL FOR UPGRADING YOUR ENGINE TO H4 CARBS, THIS SET UP WILL CERTAINLY STAND OUT AT SHOWS.
THE MANIFOLD IS AN ORIGINAL UNIT. LOOKS TO BE 'AEA634' UNIT ALTHOUGH THE NUMBER IS MOSTLY GROUND OFF. THE MANIFOLD HAS BEEN VAPOUR BLASTED. IT LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN PORTED OUT TO TAKE H4 1" 1/2 CARBURETTORS. VERY SMOOTH INSIDE THE PORTS. NEW STUDS FITTED. - I AM HAPPY TO SELL THIS SET WITHOUT THE MANIFOLD IF YOU HAVE ONE YOURSELF, THAT IS NOT A PROBLEM.
NEW 'BG' NEEDLES. - SUITABLE FOR 1275 USE. I CAN DO A NEEDLE CHANGE, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH. I CAN NEEDLE SUITABLE FOR 1098/948 OR DIFFERENT SPEC.
4 NEW SPACERS/INSULATOR BLOCKS. - AS INSTRUCTED IN THE 'WORKS TUNING' BUILD SPEC SHEETS.
STIRRUP PULL AND BOTH TRUNNIONS ARE NEW.
NEW CHOKE PULL ASSEMBLY. BRACKET, PIN AND COLLAR.
CORRECT BRASS CHOKE LEVERS WITH CORRECT CURVATURE ALLOWING FOR SMOOTH OPERATION.
BRASS BANJO FUEL UNIONS FITTED.
OVERFLOW PIPES ARE ORIGINALS, THEY HAVE BEEN ZINC PLATED.
MANIFOLD - CYLINDER HEAD GASKET INCLUDED.
THE HEATSHIELD IS NEW, IT HAS BEEN OPENED OUT TO TAKE H4/1"1/2 CARBS, THIS HAS BEEN DONE PROPERLY TO SIZE.
ALTHOUGH THE DASHPOT TOPS ARE BIGGER THAN HS2 TYPE CARBS, THE SPACERS ON THIS H4 SET ARE NOT AS DEEP AS HS2 STANDARD UNIT SPACERS. THIS ALLOWS FOR CLEARANCE. THERE IS NO NEED FOR A BULGE/CUT OUT IN THE BONNET WITH THIS SET UP. THERE IS ALSO CLEARANCE FOR THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD.
THERE IS A HOLE FOR A VACUUM ADVANCE TAKEOFF ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FRONT CARBURETTOR. THIS CAN BE PLUGGED IF NOT NEEDED.
THROTTLE CABLES WILL NEED TO BE ADJUSTED TO RUN THIS SET UP, PLEASE BEAR THIS IN MIND.
THIS SET UP HAS BEEN REBUILT TO A VERY HIGH STANDARD WITH LOTS OF TIME BEING PUT INTO THE BUILD, WILL LOOK EXCELLENT UNDER THE BONNET.
