The metallic finishes are bold and beautiful. Polished finish kit parts end in \"KP\", Silver finish kits end in \"KS\", and textured black finish kits end in \'TK\'.
Restriction can exist BETWEEN an air filter and the engine reducing the benefit of a K&N Air Filter alone. The weakest link in the airflow “chain” robs a vehicle of its natural horsepower. Often that weak point is the factory air path leading to the Engine. K&N Air Intake Kits virtually eliminate air path restriction by replacing the air filter and the entire air path to the engine. The aerodynamically engineered aluminum tube drives a massive amount of air into an engine, which translates into POWER.
These 77 Series kits are truly hand-crafted pieces of art. Available with polished aluminum or gunmetal grey powder coated tubes, these kits are sure to please in every way. They come with an oversized High-Flow conical air filter designed to provide increased surface area and dust capacity. This extra surface area provides even more airflow at lower restriction than a standard K&N O/E replacement filter that is limited to the size of the factory air box. The oversize air filter also captures more dirt increasing the service life before each cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles). Most 77 Series Kits include a heat shield designed to seal against a vehicle’s hood to isolate the air intake from engine heat. Cooling the air that travels into the engine can increase horsepower all by itself. All K&N metal intake kits use adapters made from high strength materials such as silicon and reinforced nylon and ensures long life. These kits come standard with powder coated steel brackets.
K&N systems are built for horsepower. If they can’t increase a car or truck\'s horsepower they won’t build a system for it. It’s that simple. They establish a stock baseline horsepower with an in house dynamometers and then design their air intakes to get the largest horsepower gain attainable without causing a “Check Engine Light” to come on. Horsepower numbers are not based on the single biggest gain from one particular vehicle but are an average of runs and vehicles. Many times an identical vehicle will perform differently so we want to ensure repeatable numbers you can count on. In today’s market place there are some pretty big cold air intake claims. How does K&N increase horsepower so consistently? It all starts with The World’s Best Air Filter. Even a K&N replacement air filter is limited by the size of the original air box but once the air box is removed there is plenty of room to work with. Now, a High-Flow Technology is applied to a large conical open element air filter, providing more surface area for huge increases in airflow that turn into horsepower you can feel. The oversize air filter also captures and holds more dirt. This increases the service life before a cleaning is required (up to 100,000 miles for air intakes depending on driving conditions).
Improving the air path between the air filter and the motor is the next big area of improvement. K&N offers two options for many of our air intake applications. Part numbers starting with 57 or 63 (except Gen 1 and 57i Series) incorporate molded High Density Polyethylene tubes that are black in color. Part numbers starting in 69 or 77 have aluminum tubes and are polished, powder coated or anodized. The molded Polyethylene systems offer us the most flexibility in air intake design and the best possible horsepower numbers. The aluminum intake systems offer power with a more stylish look.
Many K&N Intake Systems are street legal in all 50 states and include a California Air Resource Board (CARB) Executive Order (EO) number that ensures the kit has been tested to comply with emissions standards. EO numbers apply to the kit as well as the year, make and model it is being installed on. Systems with no EO number are street legal in most states but may not be used on emissions controlled vehicles in the state of California. Return Policy:

- If there is any error in the part received, please contact us immediately.
- Returns will be accepted if the item is unused, uninstalled,in the original packaging and inbrand new condition. Items that are defective may also be returned. We are not responsible for installmistakes. Items must be returned within 30 days from the purchase date.
- All returns must be approved and issued a (Return Authorization) RA # for return. The RA # must be on the outside of each package with the RA # in a visible area. Any package without the RA # will be refused.
- Buyer is responsible for shipping charges on returned items and to insure the package.
- Returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee. If any item is returned by choice that originally included free shipping (not a defective or performance claim), there will be a restocking fee deducted from the refund.
- Once items have been received & inspected per our guidelines, a credit or refund will be issued to the customer.
