The patent pending technology behind the Mega Ram system constricts the air intake at one point, and then maximizes airflow at other points to supply the maximum amount of air to the intake manifold. Injen SP intakes are also specifically tuned for you vehicle, engine, and engine control unit. Other air intake systems often force the engine to run too lean, risking overheating and other possible engine damage. With the Injen SP, the cold air flow is tuned for optimal performance and engine safety. By reducing turbulence and providing a less restrictive flow through the high performance filter, each intake system is engineered to provide improved horsepower and torque gains over the stock setup.Ford has finally given a us Focus with the infamous \"RS\" badge, here in the states. So naturally Injen wanted to give it the air flow it deserves. The Injen R&D Team has spent many hours on development, dyno testing and data collection, so that this intake gives you the best results possible. This is a SP intake, replacing every component in the OEM system, including the airbox and the intake pipe. The Injen SP9003 includes a 3\" aluminum pipe that routes all the way to the turbo, with all of the necessary parts to produce a perfect fit. The heat shield has a similar shape to the stock airbox, but is open on the sides and top, so that the filter is exposed to more air while also sealing the top of the shield against the hood, helping to block engine heat. The Injen SP9003 uses the factory air inlet ducts, grabbing air right from the front of the car. We have put our intakes through miles of road testing and countless dyno runs to ensure repeatable and reliable max gains of 17 hp and 20 ft-lb of torque.
