- Regarding the potentiometer: I learned and saw the potentiometer hanging down near the hydraulic cylinder on the left (drivers) side. The hydraulic cylinder bolts at both ends, but MUST have the 'knob' midway on the cylinder in the groove on the outboard side of the cylinder. The potentiometer arm must be positioned between the cylinder and that groove. The potentiometer arm is a slotted thin metal bar that slides as the top in raised and lowered and controls the positioning of the top and its components. - eBay user mandep1432
