These uncoated, MID-LENGTH TUBE headers are designed specifically for installing a Small Block Chevy 283-400 (Gen 1) engine into a 1987-1995 Wrangler (YJ). The smooth 1-1/2 in. tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your Wrangler\'s transplanted 283-400 SB Chevy engine breathe easy, and significantly improve torque over factory manifolds.<\\p>
These headers are uncoated, and ship from the factory with a temporary black paint that will burn off when submitted to normal operating temperatures. For protection against the element and lower underhood temperatures, these headers are also available with a silver or black ceramic-metallic finish.
Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed.
