The best way to describe is as follows...A \'regular incandescent\' bulb can go from 1 - 10, with 1 being off/dim, and 10 being full brightness.
The LED can go 1... then 8 - 10. They have a VERY small range of brightness.(Most people run these at full brightness anyway, in my experience.)
