You are looking at a new custom timing pointer to improve the appearance of that show car that does not use the front part of timing cover. In the past many enthusiasts would just cut the plastic from cover down and this just isn’t show car quality. Also in the past the only way you could use an aftermarket timing pointer would be to remove the back plastic section .This was a time consuming nightmare because you had to remove the timing gear to get that plastic section off and then reset the timing!! NOT WITH THIS PIECE!! You just unbolt your front cover and use the same existing stock alignment bolts and bolt it right on. The pointer was made so the stock bolts locate TDC when bolted in.
For the people who don’t have the back section you can also use this pointer with the additional bracket I supply. Please see my other auction. It will bolt directly to engine that does not have any covers. Bolts right to engine.
