Q: Can I add xxx brand or Yakima rack or accessory on this cover?
A: Currently our cover has not been tested with any accessory from any other seller, we do NOT recommend trying, for any modification on our cover willimmediately void all return and warranty eligibility.
Q: Does the installation require any drilling?
A: No drilling is required for vehicles with existing drainage holes in the truck bed, drilling will be required if no such hole exists.
Q: What material is the cover made out of?
A: The main cover assembly including the rails are made of aluminum metal.
Q: Can I drive with the cover open?
A: We advise to keep the cover closed and locked while the vehicle is in heavy motion, driving on a freeway or a city street, for instance.
Q: Does the installation require cutting my bed liner?
A: Normally no trimming or cutting is needed. In rare cases, liner needs to be trimmed in order for the front corners of canister to fit more snuggly into the truck bed.
Returns- Return Detail -
Returns are permitted and must be initiated by the buyer within 30 days from delivery date. In order to return an item, you must contact us to request an Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA). No return package will be accepted without a valid RMA number. All non-defective, undamaged products are subject to a 15% restocking fee (except where prohibited by law). There is no restocking fee for damaged or defective products.
- Basic Return Criteria -
Your return must include the following or it will be rejected by our warehouse and returned back to you: Original packaging, Original shipping label / packing slip, All accessories, Manuals, warranty registration, etc., Unexpired Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for the correct product. This can be obtained by you from our customer service people. RMA number should be written on the outside shipping box or on the return label. The RMA number must not be written on the manufacturer\'s product box.
- Basic Return Processing -
If the merchandise is returned on time, in like-new condition, and conforms with the returns policy, then a replacement order will be prepared and shipped, OR the purchase price excluding shipping will be refunded to your PayPal account. Please allow up to ten days from shipment for your return to arrive at our Returns Warehouse because the delivery times vary depending upon the shipper. Your return will be processed by the Returns Warehouse within 5-7 business days (excluding weekends and holidays). Risk of loss for product being returned is yours during shipment between you, our returns center, distributor, or manufacturer, or back to you. Title to the product being returned remains with you until acceptance by returns center, distributor, or manufacturer.
Warranty- TONNEAU COVER 5 Year WARRANTY -
Warranty covers against defective materials or workmanship on all components of DT Auto tonneau cover products for the duration stated below provided product is properly installed per DT Auto instruction and with DT Auto approved parts and hardware. Warranty is valid only for DT Auto covers purchased through an authorized dealer, anyone who purchases through unauthorized sellers should be aware that used, incomplete, or defective products are not covered under warranty. The warranty is non-transferable.
- ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS -
The warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, unreasonable or improper use, neglect, improper service/installation/removal, modifications, acts of God, normal wear and tear or other causes not arising out of defective materials or workmanship. Interference of this product with other installed accessories or trailers is not covered under this warranty. Consequential and incidental damages are not covered under this warranty. Follow conditions will void the warranty:
Wind whip damage: Cover must be secured at all appropriate points when vehicle is in motion; unsecured cover will flap and may damage the product and the vehicle.
Improper use of clamps: clamps must be tightly secured so that clamp lips tightly grip the inner bedside metal surface. For folding tonneau covers, rear latches must be stowed in the closed position before folding the cover, failure to do so might puncture the vinyl.
Driving with cover open (unsecured): Both safety strap/buckles must be secured when cover is folded/rolled all the way back to the cab; driving with the cover open at high speed will void the warranty.
Overloading of cargo: Loaded cargo must not touch the cover at any point and do not put any weight on top of the cover.
Opening cover without removing debris: Cover surface must be free of all foreign material, such as snow and ice before opening the cover.
Improper cleaning: Normal soap and water will be sufficient to clean the vinyl. Do not use automatic “brush-style” car wash. Do not use abrasive chemical cleaners that contain silicone; the chemical will dry out the vinyl and make the threading brittle and more prone to breakage.
