Soldering iron, a filing tool, pipe wrench, orany clamping tool, a pair of tweezers, blade for scraping, a star screwdriver, a pair of pliers, basic soldering skills.
The cables mentioned above are brand new, 49 strand galvanized steel cable, with a breaking strength rated at 280lbs; and the cable ends are brand new, made of brass.
These ends are best attached to the cables by soldering. When done correctly, soldering joins the ends to the cables both chemically, and structurally. The joints are permanently sealed from moisture, and will not pull out from each other as the door is operated.
