Acommon problem with the 2008-2011 Mopar/VW minivans.
This plastic Y fitting which sits directly over the hot exhaust becomes brittle and leaks, well before it is recommended to check and replace the hoses.
The dealer fix is to replace the whole hose assembly and tubing, the factory part is close to $200.00 !
Now you can replace the leaking plastic fitting with an ALUMINUM alternative, with our
TIGWELDED ALUMINUM TUBE Y repair kit.
Copper or brass plumbing hardware has been used and may be cheaper in the short term, but they are not designed for coolant and dissimilar metals increase the chance ofgalvanic corrosion.
Galvanic corrosion leads to damage to your expensive aluminum radiator, very expensive under vehicle tubing and very, VERY expensiveheater cores. Aluminum isthe same metal as your radiator,heater coreand under vehicle tubing which reduces the chance of galvanic corrosion.
Everything you need to get back on the road is included, all you need are a screwdriver, pliers anda 99¢ storebox cutter to install this.
Installation is usually less than 15 minutes.
Cut out the leaking plastic Y after the factory molded clamps,
slip the new Y in its place,
install theclamps,
and it’s done.

For this repair to work correctly, the remaining factory heater hose MUST be cut back and inch or so past the old factory plastic Y. Trying to remove the old factory molded plastic clamps and the leaking plastic Y without cutting back the hose leaves a section of hose which was stretched over barbs on the old factory plastic fitting. The hose i.d. is stretched over 5/8\" at that section, as a result, it will not seal properly on the new 5/8\" fitting. Overtightening the new hose clamps to compensate will result in the clamps breaking, too loose and there will be leaks. They just need to be snugged down on the new Y fitting to the point where the hose cannot be rotated on the fitting, the bead on the new fitting will take care of 90% of the sealing.

As far as other years and engines, some appear to have TEE fittings (which we sell in pairs in another listing) please check the actual assembly to verify.
