Installation:
- Don't use an impact wrench. Use a jack or lift to raise the vehicle so that the tires are in the air.
- Remove the wheels/tires.
- Clean the wheel and hub. Accumulations of rust and debris must be removed from both the wheel and hub mating surfaces before the spacers are installed. Clean using a wire brush or Roloc disc. Apply a thin film of anti-seize to the hub face to protect it from corrosion, and make future disassembly easier.
- Put the wheel spacers in place. Tighten by hand, but do not tighten the bolts. Just snap them all into place and tighten slightly.
- Tighten the bolts according to the specification. Once all the bolts are in place, use a torque wrench to tighten them to the manufacturer's recommended specifications.
- Reinstall the wheel onto the assembly/lug studs. Secure and hand-tighten each lug nut before tightening them all the way down. Tighten them in a star pattern to ensure the load is not applied unevenly.
