If you're looking at this listing, it's likely that you're already aware how crucial this kit is for our ECUs that are becoming more and more obsolete. This kit comes with everything needed to raise the ECU about an inch with a heat shield, reduce vibration and raise the plastic engine cover for better fitment and airflow.
The heat shield is made from heat resistant Phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resin, which is known to have excellent thermal insulation properties. It is NOT made from aluminum, unlike others currently available on eBay.

- Disconnect your battery and remove your ECU (located under the plastic engine cover)
- Mount the heat shield onto the car using the 4 rubber mounts provided
- Install the ECU onto the rubber mounts (your ECU should not be touching the heat shield directly)
- The jumper cable will need to go from the engine block to the ECU, since the ECU will now be sitting on rubber mounts
- The two longer rods will replace the bolts on the engine cover bracket located directly under the throttle body, which will raise the bracket as well as the front of the plastic engine cover to accommodate the higher positioning of the ECU (the rods are not needed if you will not be installing the plastic engine cover)
