The Hankook Kinergy 4S2 is a performance and high performance, all weather tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. Hankook offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
All weather traction is improved with the silica compound and the detailed tread elements. The innovative compound with the natural silica ingredients optimizes the rubber flexibility of the tire during its year performance. This ensures the tire’s secure summer and winter weather traction. On the other hand, the directional tread design with the siping placement and serrated edge groove pattern upgrades the surface grip. They boost the dry, wet, and winter weather traction, including the tire’s safer drive on snow-covered surfaces. The angled later and circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning in wet weather conditions.
The footprint guarantees the surface contact at all times. The concave tie-bar pattern of the directional footprint works with the tire’s reinforced bead filler and steel belt structure to upgrade the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. As a result, the tire promotes a faster and more precise steering response to driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against the pressure affecting the tire. The model’s reinforced structural elements maintain its ideal shape. The steel belts, balanced carcass and the bead filler keep the shape under the high speed pressure, while the silica compound avoids heat build-up across the tread area. This ensures the tire’s constant surface contact.
