DESCRIPTION
OEM 1972-73 Mopar 400/440 Four Barrel Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in gloss hemi orange to present a period correct image. The base is in nice conditionand features the dual snorkels with fully functional vacuum doors, new vacuum lines, and the correct ATS with push pin retainers. The driver's side snorkel retains the correct valve cover pre-heater vent tube.The basefeatures the 5 1/8" flange that will fit OEM Carter AVS and Thermoquads and comes with the correct Mopar licensed air cleaner service decal (loosely installed). The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to.
The lid is in nice condition and includes a new seal and accepts the engine call-out decal.A heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly.
Note that the gloss finish contains variations of orange peel - a little more than usual due to a new finishing process. It presents well, but is not perfect. As such, no returns on this assembly - sold as is.
As an added value, the assembly iscomplemented with a reproduction Mopar licensed400 Four Barreldecal (loosely installed). Others may be available - please inquire prior to purchase - subject to availability.As an added bonus, a nearly new preheater inlet tube is included to make installation more complete.
