OEM 1967 Mopar440 Magnum 440 Super Commando Dual Snorkel Air Cleaner without CAP. This assembly has been media blasted and refinished in black wrinkleto present a period correct image. The 18.5\" top is in very nice conditionand features the dual snorkels without CAP and correct clearance indentations.The matching basefeatures the 5 1/8\" flange (Carter AVS) - updated to fit most Carter/Holley/Edelbrock carburetors with the larger carburetor flange. The base is completed with a new reproduction Mopar seal. The inside surfaces have been finished to prevent the typical surface rust that unfinished factory units were susceptible to. A new heavy duty air filter and period correct wing nut are included to complete the assembly. Note that the wrinkle finish contains typical variations to match that of the factory production methods. A \"Made in Canada\" stamp has been added to the base and lid as a nice touch of authenticity.
As an added value, the assembly iscomplemented with a new reproduction Mopar licensed pie pan and a licensed Mopar reproduction Air Cleaner Service Decal. The auction includes a choice of either (one): a440 Magnumpie pan - correct for the R/T or Charger (this is a display piece with a very minor ding on the ridge and touched up on the center under the wing nut); GTX will requires a440 Super Commandopie pan. Please include a note to seller with your selection.If you don\'t need the pie pan, please contact us for a price without one.
Note that the CAP provision in the snorkel was not on every 67 car - depending upon your car\'s build date, final location destination, and emissions requirements. CAP cars featured the snorkel nipple that allowed engine pressured gases to be fed back into the engine via a valve cover breather with hose.
This assembly is in excellent condition and will enhance your restoration. Best of all, it is an ultra rare genuine Mopar piece!

Note: this assembly is specific to the 67 440 cars due to the 18.5\" diameter. It does not interchange with the C-body air cleaner assemblies that are slightly taller and feature a very different base plate (indented and raised flange). Later 68-69 dual snorkels reverted to the 17.5\" air cleaner diameter with similar appearances, but featuring CAP on either the snorkel or driver\'s side of the top.
FITMENT
The assembly will fit the CarterAVScarburetors, as well as Edelbrock/Holley/Carter Thermoquad carburetors with the 5 1/8\" flange. There is anadapter (sold separately) that allows installation on a Carter AFB with a 4 1/8\" for cars featuring the original Carter AFB carbs.
If you have modified your carburetor or intake manifold, please inquire first prior to bidding to ensure fitment is correct. Return requests for non-fitment will not be honored.
