Rare dry filter type 4 barrel air cleaner from a 1958 Studebaker President V8. This should fit other years. Most of these Studebakers had the oil bath filter that sat off to the passenger side of the engine. This takes the regular dry paper type filter. The carb opening is offset so it moves the air cleaner for clearance. The top is centered because the carburetor stud is curved to line up with it. It is in not so good condition though. It had a lot of mouse nest inside. I sandblasted it somewhat and it is much better but it would still need some serious cleaning on the inside. I took a grinder with a wire brush and cleaned it up some more on the outside and that opened up a quite nasty hole near the front and a few other tiny ones. So, it will need some repair. I guess the holes wouldn't affect the use of it but it would look a lot better if it was repaired and painted up nice. The inlet spout also has the upper lip bent over. I can include the crappy air filter so you will have a pattern or I can toss it if you don't want it. Very hard to find part that needs some work. See my other listings.
