Sport Fury Great Reproduction Gas Tank
This is a great reproduction of the original and for years reproduction gas tanks were not available for C Body Sport Fury. I cleaned and sealed my original tank but it had so many dents and creases in it that it looked terrible, then it suffered some severe damage while stored outside of car in garage. This reproduction is a great replacement and I highly recommend it. Couple observations; The sending unit which I already have, the locking ring and gasket does not work with this tank, I'll have to investigate that situation. The seam weld of the reproduction looks identical to original, what is different is outside this seam weld the two halves of the gas tank have a few small spot welds. So this leaves a bit of a moisture/crud trap all the way around tank. This is different than ... 1965 Fury Sport fuel tank
The new fuel tank arrived on time and in good shape. It was exactly correct with all it's machining and hook ups. With my tank installation I would recommend that you get new J hooks that are fully threaded so that that tank bands will snug up tight. Would recommend to all.
